Anybody have any tips for a first timer to this show? Where to stay/what to do/what not to do/tailgating? It looks like this is going to a fun road trip!!!

Looking forward to the concert and it will be my first time at Hemingways.

I am looking forward to the hog roast and music. It should be a great time. If not there is always the waterpark. I wonder how the waterslides will be after several jello shots and margaritas?

Funny you should mention that, Jessica and I have already floated the idea around of stopping there on the way up Friday

This looks like the show for me this year. And with a planned vacation to visit family in Madtown and Milwaukee this just lets me know when to come visit.

seriously- get there around noon and pace yourself!
Bring extra clothes, just in case we have to finz dance with mittens on. (2001 and 2009)

I'll be there, and I am looking forward to it! I try to go somewhere different every year, and I have never been to Alpine Valley. So I made an executive decision and my crew is heading up there this year. It's a nice road trip from Charlotte, but it should be fun.

I look forward to seeing a lot of you there!

If you need a room, try calling the Baymont inn in Waterford, WI. They have a great place there and pretty reasonable.

Anyone have any info. regarding LiveNation vs. Ticketmaster for getting reserved seats for this show this year?

Last year I recall the LiveNation website redirected me to Ticketmaster's, which said no tickets available. Then someone on this site recommended a LiveNation phone number to call, which got me hooked up with 6 OK tickets together.

This is just about the only show that I purchase tickets for each year that gets hit so hard for tickets immediately, so I'm looking for any helpful suggestions for making my Monday morning productive and stress-free!

Hoping to get to this show but it's really going to depend on whether or not my nephew has his graduation that weekend...I wouldn't think so because he started his school year in the middle of August...

In any case I'll see if I can get the room at the golf resort like I did last year...

It's to early to be falling to the second page. Besides, tickets going on sale monday will be cause for a lot of preparation and then frustration and/or jubilation!!

Has anyone seen the new pic for the Under the Big top Tour? It came out in a Margaritaville email, but on the bottom of the pic there is something written. To me it looks like "santa i come a ?????? and a year". Not sure I can make out all of the words I wrote correctly, but I can't figure out the ???? word at all. Any ideas or anyone know what it means/where it comes from?
