Here we go again! You'd think I'd have some sort of strategy for ticket buying after all these years

Looking to find out some info about the June 26th concert at alpine valley (East Troy Wisconson).Word is that everyone must have a ticket to be able to get in The gates .We have 2 buses every year that drive from Iowa to Wisconson for the concert and we have some that can't afford to buy tickets but go for the incredable tail gateing party.Now were told you cant even get in to tail gate unless you have a concert ticket .Has anyone out there in BuffettVille know anything about the new rules .Because if this is so that means that some of the less forcenet people who can afford the expence will make it less posible to fill the bus ,then causing the bus tickets to double for the rest.Can't find any info on the web about this new rule .Can any one steer me to a web site or were to call to find out .PLEASE HELP .....Thanks everyone

I think I'm going to be able to make it... now I have to see about arranging a hotel for that weekend (since it's before the 4th that might not be easy....) any suggestions anyone?)

Does anyone know what the ticket limit is going to be for Alpine? I have a bunch of people going, but I am not sure how many tickets that I am going to be able to get? The Ticketmaster site does not say. Thanks!

Edit: I think I found my answer. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says that there is a six ticket limit. Works for me.

Country Inn and Suites East Troy offers a package. "Porch Party" Must stay 2 nights. Very expensive but offers nice room, Party on Fri night with music food and drinks, games, breakfast Sat and Sun, and transportation to and from Alpine (only few miles away). If sold out, call hotel direct and try to get on wait list. Same holds true for any other hotels you call. If they say they are sold out, always ask if you can get on a "wait list".Often worked for us. We're in @ CI&S for this year. Just need tickets now. In anticipation of getting shut out today, if anyone gets lucky, I need only 2. Reserved Sec 102 or 202. Will tip generously . If I do get lawn or any extra, I'll post to trade or sell.

We stayed at the country inn and suites for a couple of years and the first year was the best. the second year they booked a band that had to learn 4 buffett songs to play there. They mostly played original stuff, it was good but not anything we wanted to hear at a "Buffett Party". I think the bands name was step down or step something. They got frustrated and stopped early and someone got out a kareoke machine and the place went nuts with buffett.

Called the live nation number to see what the limit was and got the usual recording but the first thing said was that they are not selling Buffett tickets and to call TM. Odd?

Just so you know. We found out last year that any buses coming to Alpine Valley each passenger must have a ticket for the concert or the bus will not be allowed to enter. I guess they had problems last year with bus loads of people coming just to party in the parking area, and that will no longer be allowed. Each bus will be stopped and each passengers will be checked to see if they have a ticket.

No kidding. I was scared for a little while too. But I eventually got that magic "Ticketmaster Shipping" screen.

We got our tickets (lawn) and got a room in Janesville last week for Satureday night. Now the only question is if we can arrange to make it Friday night too. I've done that before and it has always been well worth it.

I was able to get 4 more reserved a few minutes ago-keep trying!

Woke up at 5:00am to get them and was successful! Now I'm too excited and can't go back to bed!

wow..... tried getting tickets at outlet today and they said these tickets are not on sale at retail outlets this year....

Were people in the WI area able to get tickets at retail outlets?
