Heck yeah! I'm right down the road in Knoxville, TN. It will be a nice short weekend drive. Me and Bob Roberts will bring a crew probably. So is there seriously no tailgating plans?

Am sorry to say there is no good place to tailgate in downtown Nashville. That might be why Buffett has not been here in a while. But we do have plans that should interest parrotheads for Sat afternoon and possibly Fri nite so stay tuned.

No good places huh! Then what happens on titan home games. Yes there isn't great places to tailgate but there are places. LP field beside the pedestrian bridge is just a short walk over. Or even a few lots on the downtown side. The real question is will METRO PD ALLOW us parrottheads to have a good time or not? That's probably more an issue than anything else.

Yep - LP Field would be nice to party in but I'm sure if we set up to party there we would get thrown out. I would also expect the same thing at the paid parking lots downtown.

Well I guess it just may be time to call up the titans and see if they won't agree to open up there lots. Basically the same thing the frisco tx does with that venue. Hell we will even pay to park and party there. Cause that has to be the best place. Just that short walk over the bridge. Could make for one great tailgate.

Well please post any and all info on here as quick as possible (as if you wern't planning to do that anyways). I have a 15 yr old daughter who I have promised to take to see Jimmy and how a concert with real phans actually is ran. Soooo I would love for her to be able to witness proper pre-JB tailgatin'. With us being in Central Alabama and Hotlanta being basically the same distance for a mid-week show Nashville just got the nod as the priority. Also I am going ahead and forecasting a cold spring rain for Atlanta. So the early season indoor @ Nashville sounds better and better.

This is almost as good as last year!!!!! My first Buffett concert was Atlanta last year, on my birthday, no less!!! My husband and I drove down for the concert then flew out the next morning for a week in Mexico! Imagine my suprise when we found out a week before Bonnaroo that Jimmy would be playing a short concert there as well! Twice in one year!!!! I didn't think I would get that lucky again but seeing as how we are 2 hours from Nashville and 3 from Atlanta, looks like we're headed to both!!!!

Well I'll be, I've only been in TN for two weeks and look what happens.
I had to Google to see how long it would take to get to Nashville...it says my road trip should be about 21.8 miles and about 27 minutes. I think I can pull this one off.

No not yet. The shows before and after have been confirmed but nothing on this one yet. Tickets for the other shows go on sale this saturday. So we are still in wait and see mode.

Linda, I'm so glad that Jimmy is coming to see you!!!!!!!!
The Nashville concert 6 years ago was the last time I saw a Buffett concert. The outdoor venue there was awesome and I liked it much better then Atlanta.
The Nashville PH Club had just gotten started and the TC for PHIP was from the Muscle Shoals Club. We put our heads together got buses to pick us on Friday night at the hotel to go downtown to meet the Nashville Club at the Beer Stella.
That was the 1st time I met Tall Paul...he was playing at the pre party...we all walked around town and the bus took us back to the hotel...the next night for the concert the buses took us to the outdoor venue...cause the city and venue were not letting folks in the gate until 3 hours before the concert....not a lot of time to tailgate.
I'm putting my name on the waiting list for tickets...meaning if all the club tickets are not sold I just might get to come...the thing I don't understand is why the Nashville TC picked the $136.00 tickets and they were offered the $89.00 tickets...sure would sell a lot more tickets at $89.00.

Any hotel recommendations that are the closest to the venue?

Well, the Hilton Nashville Downtown is kinda across the street from the Sommet Center.
The Renaissance Nashville is a block or so away.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown is a few blocks away.
The Hermitage (!EXPENSIVE!) is a few blocks away (I'm betting that's where Jimmy stays)
The Holiday Inn Express is a few blocks away.
Downtown Nashville is FUN !!

So excited about Buffett in Nashville again (even if it is indoors). I'll take what we can get! Beginning preliminary plans. There has to be a way to tailgate part of the day in the traditional way.
I so needed this to combat the interminably long winter.
