I received the following from the Bus company that I use for my Buffett Alpine trip:

Just so you know. We found out last year that any buses coming to Alpine Valley each passenger must have a ticket for the concert or the bus will not be allowed to enter. I guess they had problems last year with bus loads of people coming just to party in the parking area, and that will no longer be allowed. Each bus will be stopped and each passengers will be checked to see if they have a ticket.

Take it for what its worth, but it came from Lamers.........

I know someone here who works for Lamers. To my knowledge they've never run a bus to a Buffett concert from here, but I'll run this past him and see if he's heard anything on a corporate level.

Well 2009 was a sh#@*ty year for most and 2010 isn't looking much better. But now the date has been set, the preparations have begun and the ParrotHead nation gathers!

Fresh off the Coconut Telegraph Midwest Edition - here is the draft version

Hemingways to host the

2010 UNDER THE BIG TOP PRE-CONCERT "GOT A LOT TO DRINK ABOUT" FULL MOON WEEKEND PARTY!
The official sponsored phlocking starts Friday June 25th at 3pm with the general mayhem featuring

Frank Whiting
Mr. Myers
South Of Disorder
Pirates Over 40

Music starts at 5pm and goes til we drop

Saturday, our doors open at 10am for pre-concert gathering and preliminary tailgating in our lot. We will be doing Bloody Mary Breakfast, Margys, Landshark and patio food for the afternoon.

The Saturday night post party event will once again feature The David Marshall Band and we will be broadcasting all the pre-show and post-show events live as usual for those unable to attend the concert.

Finally, on Sunday, wind down with us starting at 9am with Bloody Marys, omelettes, and lots of post concert sharing to prepare for the return to reality trip home.

I would expect the "rape" of the phlock regarding lodging to begin if it has not already, it has been a tough year for Lake Geneva and surrounding communities and I am expecting the hotels to jack up their rates inappropriately, but not much we can do. I have calls out to try to pull in favors but as of yet, am not hearing any good news. I will keep all informed if I am able to lock in some decent rates in the area. PM me if you are in need of lodging, we will do the best we can. Anyone with Jolena & Eric's group are already on a list. Would hope that Volcano Express is securing good rates also. BNers will take priority on list.

Being it a Full Moon gathering, we decided to not only go insane, but to be insane. Expect lots of games, give-aways, craziness and mayhem all weekend!

Knowing how bad off a lot of us are due to the economic situation, this year's party is gonna be just that, a huge fricking party. I (we) have appreciated all your past loyalty and patronage to our events and phlockings, therefore this year we are going to return the favor for those who can't afford it due to events completely out of YOURS and OUR control.

We are asking for a $10.00/person donation on Friday to cover our costs, BUT if you can't afford it this year, you won't be turned away. Yep, 10 bucks if you can, if not, no worries, come and enjoy!

Food will start at 5pm and run til it is out. The usual pig roast/bbq and all the fixins, price will be $5.00/person.

DESIGNATED DRIVERS ENTER, EAT AND DRINK FOR FREE AS ALWAYS. PLEASE, EITHER HAVE A DESIGNATED DRIVER OR TALK TO US ABOUT RIDES AND RIDE SHARING. NOT ONLY DO WE ENCOURAGE PARTYING WITH A PURPOSE, BUT WE STRESS SAFE AND SMART PARTYING.

Once again we will be setting up buses to the show from Hemingways. Email us if you are in need. More details shortly. As always, we suggest you check with Volcano Express also, they do a great job. We don't know the status of Volcano Express involvement this year with our pre-concert party, but we hope they will join us as in years past.

We are working on shuttle services and rides from local area resorts and hotels, they should be inexpensive and we encourage you to use these if you are in the area and attending. Details will be out in the near future.

For those of you car pooling it, our parking lot is available as in the past. Feel free to meet there and carpool in to the show.

More to follow in the next few weeks. Visit Hemingways webpage for updates regularly http://www.hemingwaysportofcall.com

Is it June yet?!

Hi All,

I'm going to the Alpine Valley concert this year. A bunch of my friends are getting lawn tickets, but I wanted to also get a few regular seats. Does anyone know if you can go between the lawn and the regular seats, assuming of course you have tickets for both? Obviously, I haven't been to a concert at Alpine Valley before. :)

Thanks in advance!

Eric

you can if you are in the reserved area, just carry your stub with you. you have to leave the pavillion to use the restrooms anyway. those in the lawn can't come see you but that should be obvious>
