The Tampa parking lot is a blast. Definitely worth the trip. We've done Tampa every year since 2007 and LOVE the tailgate and the venue. We went to Atlanta last year and had a great time at the tailgate, but didn't like being forced out of the parking lot so quickly (although maybe it was for our safety, not a good neighborhood). The Atlanta tailgate seemed to be spread out over several different parking lots and that's one of the reasons why we like Tampa so much. The beauty of that location is that it's in the shade. Last year it was pushing 90 degrees and we were all thankful for that.

Is your tailgate that you indicated in the picture a private event? I am flying in to meet a fellow BNer and a virgin from AZ. We are looking for a social group to hang out with before the show. We plan on adding food and beverages to whatever gathering we are invited to.

Question: Would y'all prefer to:
Do a BYOF (bring your own food)
Do a group burgers/dogs cookout
Do a group BBQ smoked dinner
I'm game for any of the options, BBQ costs normally come out to around $20-25 per person (including funds towards entertainment), so it's not cheap, and we typically need to get a decent size group to make it happen. Burgers & dogs can be done cheaply (guessing $10-12pp including funds toward entertainment). BYOF is easy, we'd only need to pool funds/donations for some entertainment.
Let me know your preference by next Sunday (March 14th) and I'll go with the majority. Has anyone started a contact/attendee list yet? If not, shoot me your info and I'll begin compiling.

I am happy to go with the flow, although it was not until the food last year that I remembered that I don't like smoke food. How about finding a price for a toilet (we call them portaloos) in England as the Fairground facilities are appalling. Whatever everyone decides is OK with us.

Count 2 more in that are only going for the tailgaiting. Going to look into an adaptor to plug my laptop into the cigarette lighter so we can listen to the show on RM from the parking lot
