Perhaps the most exciting feature of the Gemini is its ability to fly right into a remote deserted beach or island at low speeds allowing for the dry desembarkment of the owners and guests. The entire nose tilts open for easy deployment of two large off-road vehicles (bring your Hummer), cars or whatever toys you want. A transom garage holds one large tender, which is deployed by a ramp, so on the way back, all you have to do is speed up the tender to jump right into the garage. Have fun guys!

Cool Picture!!!....Notice how the front Jet engines are angled to enhance the effect at low speeds by directing the jet wash down below the wing....
I did not even notice those. All I saw was the engine on the tail.

I just stumbled on this blog from a guy who was building a model of the Hemisphere Dancer. It's really neat and there are some excellent pictures of his work. You might want to check it out.

It would be much more interesting if Jimmy was to unretire it.

Think maybe he'll paint the Goose like Landshark?

I thought it was in this thread but I'm drawing a blank. The term Jimmy used when talking about...adriatic cooling? Something along those lines.

The Progressive Aerodyne Searey. 2 seat, tube/fabric/composite amphibian. Can be purchased as a kit, or as a built aircraft under the Light Sport Aircraft rules.

I'm gonna own one of these someday. [smilie=happy.gif]

Long story short, while in St. Louis for Jimmy's concert we met a very nice young man who works at the West Palm Beach airport, sees Jimmy's planes come in and go all the time and knows some of the people on Jimmy's flight team. He just sent us this picture of one of Jimmy's planes that came in last Wednessday. This is not a new plane, just one of the fleet.

The one, or one like it, that was used to drop supplies in the OBX a few years back.

I had forgotten about that picture. I just checked and it was posted in September, 2007 so this would be the old Goose. Is he still keeping the new one there?

that is the problem. Even if you update the avionics suite in the Albatross, turn it into an all-glass setup, it isn't all sexy and stuff like a Falcon.

I don't know that I would be flying with Landshark aboard, unless I was looking to really torque off the natives with bad swag (kinda like dropping off blankets from the TB ward with the Indians)... :D and warming cup holders work really good at 5a on a winter morning, and you need that big mug of Hemingway's Hair of the Dog from Baby's in KW to get the turbines spun up. :D
