I was surprised how quiet it is tonight. Everyone must have worn themselves out with the 10 pages in the last few days. I am hitting up all kinds of people for silent auction items. Have one good response, but will wait until I get more to have "news".

Only if I can swing a *business trip* (my boss is in Dallas, I go there semi-frequently). Otherwise, I'm afraid I won't make it this year.

Of course ...... should the wild and crazy and almost unthinkable happen ..... and our racecar wins this promotion .....

.... then on May 22nd I'll be at the Charlotte Motor Speedway riding shotgun in our actual car as it paces the drivers to start the 2010 NASCAR Sprint® All-Star Race.

And a nationwide TV audience will see the Parties That Matter racecar.

This would be so damn awesome. Already tweeted and will continue to spread the word!

I tweeted it, too and have had some Re-tweets. Definitely another good way to spread the word.

For the record, it would not be me riding in the car should we somehow win (as much as I'd like to do that) .....

Any prizes this might win will be donated/auctioned somehow to benefit Parties That Matter.
I would just have to figure out how to coordinate that. I'll still work hard to promote and make this happen.
But I will donate any prizes to Parties That Matter. That's the way it should be.

Even if we don't make the top ten in voting (but we can), the message that parrotheads know how to *Party With A Purpose* will be spread, and Parties That Matter will gain some well deserved attention in our communities.

Hey, can anyone who purchased pre-sale tickets tell me how much the additional fees were? I'm going Monday morning (they are darn lucky I don't get admitted to the hospital until Tuesday) to buy my daughter and her husbands tickets and she needs to give me the money today. I thought it was like $14.50 last year, but, alas, my brain does not remember.

Well, since my daugher - who will be one of the ones trained to stay with me is going to the concert and I'm sure Piratenurse is too......I may just have to see if I can somehow swing a ticket when I get my daughter's and her husbands on Monday morning.......Someone is supposed to be with me at all times...........I haven't been the last 2 years......but hey, I am now $67.00 richer as I had a Cirque du Soleil ticket for 2/27 and of course that's 2 days after my surgery......so a friend bought it so there's almost half the cost of a Buffett ticket right there........so I will try to swing the rest of it and get to go this year! I am too excited.....now that I've had time to rationalize (since when do Parrottheads rationalize??) and figure out it probably wouldn't be best for me to hang in the parking lot alone without someone who knows something about this contraption that I'll be connected to - it would be safer to be next to my daughter in case any alarms go off, etc........and it will be a hell of a lot more fun!

Thanks everyone for the phin power, prayers and good wishes for my upcoming surgery. I'm running very far behind just getting everything under control before I get admitted Tuesday. I was going to post the details, but I'm glad ETP did it for me.....saved me some time. Love you guys!
