CARAVAN PLAN:
Meet at Lowe's Home Improvement (Gainesville). Get there as early as you wish, but plan to arrive by 11:30 AM so that we can get organized and ready to have wheels in motion towards The Lube 12:00 PM EDT.

Premier parking lot is $30 cash at the venue as you roll in. General parking is what was included in the price of your ticket (so they say); however the caravan is heading to premier as that is what gets you in the parking lot earliest.

If you’re not caravaning but wonder about other parking options, there's some kind of Fast Lane Access parking for sale. On my last call to the venue, they described it as for the gate that's furthest to the right.

AS OF TUESDAY NOON (8/31): The not-so-friendly staffer who answered the phone at The Lube today noted general parking opens at 3:00. I asked about what time premier parking opens, and she repeated that general parking opens at 3:00 but any cars arriving earlier can talk to the parking attendant. Patterns have shown the venue’s official word on what time parking opens is for suckers , and to keep with our ‘paloozin’ tradition as it was with previous years, so shall it be this year: see caravan plan noted above.

Generally we've shared space and everyone has brought their own stuff/food as well as food/drink to share. So if you've got it, bring it!

But just to have a better idea of what you can bank on being available, in case you're limited in how much you can load up in your vehicle, please PM me if you want to list what you're bringingsuch as: EZ Up Tents, grills, tables, etc. I’ve tried to keep up with posts on the thread, but well, sometimes I miss stuff, and that lil pink slacker just takes up space.

I just looked at Jet Blue and it's dirt cheap from here to DC. How bad is that drive? Or is it close enough for some sort of shuttle??

Does it fly into National, er, Reagan or does it fly into Dulles?

"How bad is that drive?"... hmm... depends on how you define "bad." The distance to the venue is really not bad from either airport, but DC/NoVA traffic is no picnic.

Dulles - and yeah I figured it would be like NYC traffic and I lost those driving skills years ago when I moved to VT!! Though I do occasionally drive in Boston.

Hmmm, airfare is so cheap maybe I'll hire a limo!

Thanks Eileen for starting this thread!!!! We're going to hope the keet moves into the dorm towards the beginning of the week so we can get her settled and fly home by Thursday. We'll see about coming to the tailgate...... If I can score tix for the Thursday show like I did last year......well how could you turn that down?

I'm probably leaning toward Thursday just like last year since I'll hopefully head for the beach for the long weekend. But, they're giving away tickets again on the radio this week, so we'll see what fate has in store for me.

NEVER take a busy signal to mean you didn't win. Until someone else has won, you're still in the running. Judging by my incredible success with Buffett tickets in particular, they must not be a big draw for the call in giveaways. I've won them probably 4 out of 6 years that I've tried. One of those years I got two pairs of seats next to each other!

So it's like the old days when you tried to call in and buy tickets at TicketMaster. I was hoping you'd have a super secret phone number I could use. Sort of like the Bat phone.
