Just got off the phone with Premiere Parking. They said that they're not reserving any spots in the lot (I'm guessing that they made an exception for the RV), and that they would just recommend showing up pretty early to get a spot. They were very nice, and just asked that we pick up after ourselves and pay for each spot used. Hope to see you guys there! If anyone has any luck reserving spots with them, let us know!

PHMike42 wrote:Phone/email list update part deux
I received several private messages about the Nashville phone/email list. They were almost equally divided (7 public, 8 private) between making the list public (the web page I linked to previously) and making the list available via private email only. So - with nobody offering to do a private list I will do it and not do the public page. That would seem to be the method acceptable to everyone.
Send me your info via PM and I will consolidate it into one PM. I will then send a PM to the people on the list with the info provided to me. Since some pholks will be leaving home Fri morning to drive to Nashville for the Fri eve Peter Mayer show I will send the info to pholks on the list late Thurs nite or early Fri morning.
Or - suggestions?
Sounds perfect....thanks for doing this !!!

I think it has to do with the RV size? They even gave me the name of the special events manager. They don't allow the prepayment or reservations, they just say if we get there early there will be spots. They don't have a special rate, $10/spot IS their rate. I have an RV too and that's probably why they gave me the name of the guy. They *think* we are the only 2 RVs. Silly boys, they haven't seen a phlocking. I am happy to give live updates via cell phone to anyone else who is interested in spots available at this lot. I plan to get there about 9-10 am. PM me for my cell if you want to text/call.

Come Monday Nashville aint gonna know what hit it.
Jimmy can play Nawleens and no one would notice.
Jimmy can play Memphis or any of a dozen towns I can think of and no one would notice.
Nashville on the other hand is in for an awakening.
I wish we had some of those stickers to put on our cash that lets people know it was spent by a parrothead at a show. I bet they would treat us better and make better pre-show accommodations for it next time. Of course with everyone using debit and credit cards that doesn't have as much kick as it used to. Oh well.

Never been to Nashville, can anyone help me with the parking/tailgating situation? I need suggestions. I read on the arena's site that there is no tailgating allowed in lots LP and R? Oh, and I'm a "newbie" only 7 concerts.

Go back a page or two in this thread and look for Premier Parking. Our club's indoor 'tailgate' party is sold out and some pholks are gathering in one of Premier's lots.
For a big list of events this week in Nashville that families or parrotheads might want to do before or after the concert have a look at this list:

I bet local merchants are gonna take one look at parrotheads and say "Y'all ain't frum aroun' here are ya?"

Oh yeah, HELLO ALL, newbie to the board here. Born and raised a PH. We have a room booked at the Doubletree and wonder if a total stranger/newbie and his wife would be welcome to drop by the gatherings...???
Wife and I @ the Doubletree dtwn as well. In from Colorado on a "mystery trip", although she has sort of figured it out. We get in on Thursday to fully aclimatize before the phestivities on Saturday. Cheers.

Ain't that the truth!
Does anybody know about cameras and Somett/Bridgestone? I was hoping to take photos and am a p/t jounalist but don't know if that cuts any ice with Nashville.
Thoughts? Ideas? Help!

I wouldn't think it should matter but quote me on it. perhaps a quick call to bridgestone arena would be best.

I just called Bridgstone Arena 615-770-2000 and was told to call 615-770-2100 about the camera policy. I was told the artist decides the policy for their own event and Bridgestone Arena has not received that info from Buffett's management yet and to call back Fri. (WTF? One day before the event?)
TicketMaster's website info about Bridgestone Arena says - "The use of cameras (still) is determined on an event by event basis."
Maybe somebody else can have better luck getting that info.

I thought about that a few pages ago.....it being Nashville, who
knows who'll show up ?
And I also went to the ZBB website and they have nothing scheduled for May 1. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
Something else I thought about.....making a huge "BEFORE" sign and standing in front of where Margaritaville will be and have a picture taken, then next year (IhopeIhopeIhope) when Jimmy comes back

to Nashville, I can bring a huge "AFTER" sign and have someone take a picture.

The closest one to downtown is on Elliston Place about 1 1/2 miles from Bridgstone Arena.
Google map link:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&safe= ... a=N&tab=wl
Also note that particular Krispy Kreme is a 5 minute or less walk from Rotier's and real parrotheads know what Jimmy thinks of the cheesburgers there.
