The weather here has been STUPID for weeks. If you have allergies, bring meds. The pollen is thick! As for the rain, I spent all day in rain and hail yesterday and have no voice today. Not good for someone who talks to people all day for a living! I am hoping the rain holds off, but there is no telling what will happen. All weather complaints can be issued to Al Gore. . .he lives about five miles from me. :D

For anybody who is interested in tailgating during the day. There is a lot a block from the arena just south of Broadway on 4th (110 4th Ave South). It's a Central Parking lot so I imagine the "special event" parking price will be in effect. However, it's a block from Rippy's for those going, a block from the arena and a few steps off Broadway for those that want to hit up any honky tonks during the day. I'm planning on getting there early, getting two spots (one for the car and one for the canopy) and tailgating the day away with 300 or so of my closest jell-o shots.

I had such a blast in Tampa last Saturday that I can't wait for this weekend to roll around.

A lot of people are attending the MCPhins tailgate at Rippy's, but it's sold out. I'm hoping to get a secondary impromptu one going in the lot a block away.

You might look back a few pages. People are going to a lot on 2nd Ave. Central parking usually don't allow tailgating. This Is a premiers lot and they have already given the OK. See you there.

There's a Premier lot next to it with 69 spaces. I can scoot my plans over if it means I'm a bit closer. I'll make sure to walk up and say hello to everybody.

Hey you Tennessee fans, in case you missed it here is a link to the parody of Jimmy's Great Filling Station Holdup that my son and I did last fall after the arrest of UT football players trying to hold up a poor guy for his hamburger money.

We call it Big Orange Hold up!

We'll see you all Saturday

Paradise Park Trailer Resort, a bar [smilie=asa.gif] directly across the street from Rippy's on Broadway will be playing Jimmy Buffett music all day on Saturday and most likely Friday night as well. I think they will have live cover band as well. The place is big and can hold a ton of parrotheads! The burger joint next door has the BEST BURGERS IN TOWN!!! and open LATE NIGHT. Hope to you guys there!

Also, just heard that the Merchant's resturant, on Broadway and 4th (kiddy corner from new future Margartaville Resturant) will be Parrothead Friendly. Also great food and will have JB tunes going!

I just looked at the weather. 70% chance of thunderstorms. Rain is one thing, but thunderstorms change the game Saturday. After seeing some of the other posts regarding bars on Broad, I'm thinking Paradise Park would be the place to go. Any thoughts?

This is why we have an RV for Phlockings! Hope the winds stay low so we can keep the awning out for everyone. Bring rain gear, pack a spare set of dry clothes for the actual concert and consider warm food. I wish we had organized a cooking contest, maybe a chili contest? That would keep us all warm! I've got a big Propane burner, but if its windy I don't want to set it up and cook. Maybe we should do crock pots on a table under the awning. I'll be at the Premier lot on 2nd.

I wish I had an RV for Saturday. As it stands, rain doesn't worry me, but storms bring wind and wind blows over canopies and awnings. Maybe things will change Saturday and the forecast will call for a post-show arrival. If they could hold off until after 8, we'd be golden.
