What city has the best tailgating scene. I was at Frisco last year and it was off the hook.

I live in Kansas and was wanting to know how the scene was in Vegas, St.Louis, Chicago etc.

I am tring to convince the wife to go to three concerts this year.

I promised myself I would never repsond to one of these "best tailgating" threads again but it really is Great Woods. It is, as a good friend of mine once coined "the Super Bowl of Buffett . . ." Great Woods has the Nantucket, Vineyard, Cape Cod, Newport , RI, and Bar Harbor ME sailing culture . . . it is the place Jimmy has played the most . . . it has the best displays, the best t*ts, the best alcohol (I literally had Burgundy from France last year . . . and my boy C - Dawg brings some damn fine Tequliia . . .)

I have been to Jimmy practically everywhere. Cinci and Alpine are very close runners up . . . but it truly is Great Woods. No lie.

You been to Frisco? Well then, there's your answer.

Just kidding, I really wouldn't know as I haven't been to too many different ones, but of the ones I have...Frisco is it! :D

Jon, I've already got a bottle of Herradura Anejo ready for us Saturday and a couple bottles of Rum Jumbie..... but beyond the great tequila, you forgot GW is also home to TONGA JUICE!!!!!

I think this year can really put the "GW vs. Cinci" talk to bed for good. GW is getting a Thursday and a Saturday in June; Cinci is getting a Monday in May. 'Nuff said. (Though as a true believer in unity I will be at all 3 shows. [smilie=sillyjester.gif] [smilie=sillyjester.gif] [smilie=sillyjester.gif] [smilie=sillyjester.gif] )

I would have to go with Great Woods for all of these reasons, as well as the fact that there, more than anywhere else, you have people who show up on Thursday morning and don't really leave until after the Saturday show. That doesn't happen as much in Camden or Bristow, for exmaple.

I have been wanting to go to Frisco. I understand that Mr. Play is no longer the grand poobah of all things Frisco this year. I hope he can do again some year when I can make it down there.

No prob, My Friend and welcome to BN! I can't emphasize this enough . . . get tickets for both Thursday and Saturday Great Woods . . . head out to the cape on friday (www.thebeachcomber.com) or head out to Nantucket and go the Chicken Box where Jimmy frequents when in town. There is a massive Parrot Head, sailing, Buffett feel out there that translates into his shows. Jimmy started spending his summers up here back in the early 1980's for a reason. Newport to Bar Harbor with the Vineyard and Nantucket in between . . . it . . . is . . . all . . . great!

I have noticed this too. One and done for most of the Camden/Bristow folk which is fine for them. Not so much for Great Woods.
