Heart's aflutter
Okay, I'm in love again. I just listened to Jimmy do Do You Know What it Means to Miss New Orleans from the May 2008 Jazz Fest. In fact I listened to it 4 times and am going back for more. Where is that CD of ballads for all us little old ladies sitting at home with our cats and thinking there might still be some hope. As my mom would have said, that song gave me palpatations!

I just love your enthusiasm & attitude. It must feel great to listen to all that "new to you" stuff.
Listen to the Ed Bradley Memorial Service also with Jimmy and Allen Toussaint..
And yes, Teddy Badley would have loved it.
I'm still waiting to hear the version from the New Orleans Coastal Confessions show.

I am slowly but surely working my way through Jimmy's music in no particular order. This week it is Floridays and Coconut Telegraph. So I have two more songs to add that make my heart flutter: Creola and Stars Fell on Alabama. I'm in a puddle on the floor.

Re: Heart's aflutter
I don't think I have heard False Echos yet, but I have heard the other three and I agree.
Tonight I listened to the Oct. 2001 East Hampton Concert fund raiser that Jimmy did for the third time. I love them because they are so informal. Anyway he does "All the ways I want you". The crowd was unusually rowdy during most of the concert but you could hear a pin drop when he started that song. It would never work with a large crowd, but boy it was sure something with this smaller group.
