However, now that the Margaritaville in Niagra Falls is opening that day, my dreams have been dashed. Do you think it might have been planned to have the place open on the day between two concerts in an area very close to the site. Hmmmm
I'm seeing Jimmy the day before and the day after, so while Jimmy showing up to a small intimate show of 200 people would be cool, I'm going to see Peter, Nadirah, and the other Coral Reefers doing THEIR stuff.
And that's actually more fun than seeing them with Jimmy because they are really showcased.
You are both right, of course, and I am excited about seeing everyone, but as a noobie, I have not seen Jimmy live as many times as you all have and it was just a thought.
Kay, not sure if you've ever been to a show like this one before, but if not, you're going to love this as much if not more than the concerts the day before and after. The thing about one of these shows is getting to "meet" the Coral Reefers, literally and figuratively. While at a Jimmy show, they get introduced, but rarely does their personality come thru, as they are backing up Jimmy, who does most of the talking. At one of these shows, they open up, talk about their song choices and the inspiration behind it, and interaction with the crowd isn't uncommon. They also often praise Jimmy and talk of how honored they are to be part of his band, and know him as a person. You can tell they have the utmost respect for him. At the end of the shoow they normally set up a table and will hang out, sign autographs, sell CD's and take pictures with all who want them.
Then of course, there's the music, and I'm really looking forward to hearing Peter play some of his "Hello Goodbye" CD, plus some of his older stuff like "Smallest of islands", or "Piece of Paradise". If you haven't checked out the Coral Reefers solo work, I highly encourage you to do so, they've put out some great music.

And if you ever get to see Jake live I promise you'll have a hard time watching Jimmy when Jake is onstage with him! (This is my own private wish that since Jake is going to be in NE over the concert dates that we get an extra surprise!)

I love me some Jake - and he's coming to Burlington the week after!
I've got my tickets already....4 days after we get back from GW...WOO HOO!!!!!
I could see Jake showing up at GW....and after Ilo opens for Jimmy, would love to hear Jake open the show with his version of the Star Spangled Banner.

My thoughts exactly - my ticket is safe and sound in my "Jimmy folder" in my desk!
Should help with the PCL to see him a few days later.

Not sure what that glass of clear liquid behind it is though.....
I think it's called water.....I've heard people drink it with scotch.....not sure if you can drink it alone
Are you sure? It must be vodka or gin or rum!!!!! Isn't water the stuff you swim in?
Drinking a Hurricane in a hurricane while cooking in a hurricane! Great scott! We are in the presence of greatness.
And . . . regarding the water . . . I always thought it was used to spray on drunk girls wearing white shirts who crave attention? Am I wrong?
Water, you know what fish do in that?????

I know it's a LONG shot with the Sandbar's waiting list being about 500 people deep but does anyone know if there are any extra tickets floating around?!?!

I will be there tomorrow nite (6/3) will let you know if I hear of anything...
FYI
The afternoon portion of the event does not need tickets and is free....
