Re: Is anyone making lanyards this year?
I'm perfectly comfortable with giving you the money in advance....shoot off a PM to all of us that have given you the number we want, and I can send a check. Or, if you have a Paypal account, I'll do it that way.phjrsaunt wrote:This is my thought process at this point:
The lanyards would have to be pre-ordered. As much as I love you, I can't finance this deal. After "x" number (enough to pay for them) are ordered, I can order them. I would of course keep everyone up to date on the progess and keep track of money for lanyards/donatons. In a nutshell, you're going to have to trust me with your money. Having been the trustee of BN phundage before (the first cookbook), I'm fine with that, but just making sure everyone would be comfortable with that arrangment.

Re: Is anyone making lanyards this year?
So, update the list with how many you want....I wasn't going to put quantities down, because if I made a mistake, there could be hurt feelings....if each of us updates the list with the quantity they want, then everyone should get what they want.Bicycle Bill wrote:I said in an earlier post I'd take a couple. Just "cut and paste" the latest version of the list into your post and add a quantity after your name.

Re: Is anyone making lanyards this year?
Auntie's "full discolosure" statement for Sunday
So, there are like, a billion companies out there that sell lanyards. I had the names of a bunch that had been used by Parrothead Clubs with success. At this point I've narrowed it down to two, based on what I know "our" tastes to be and trying to avoid goofy stuff like extra fees. I've narrowed our choices down to two companies. I'm sorry, but there won't be an option to pick different colors. What there WILL be (before I place the order, and after I get a little more information back from the companies) is a choice of "basic color print on basic color lanyard" or "glow in the dark print on basic color lanyard". Either way, I'll post a poll prior to ordering to see what most pholks want. I kind of think the glow in the dark print one is cool-I've never seen one before, but I don't get out much.
The print is kind of lke day-glo green.
You will be able to order by either sending me a check or by Paypal (many thanks to Elrod for showing me how to set that up!).
The minimum order will be 100, no matter what. Thanks gunthermoose for keeping a running tally, but I feel confident enough now that we'll sell 100, siince I know there are plenty of BN'ers who will order but have not posted in this thread.
What's personally frosting my cookies is that it's going to cost $4.90 to mail each envelope by USPS media mail. Anyone have any ideas to make it cheaper?

Thanks guys, but no need to keep updates on the number you want at this point. Remember, this is just the "trolling for interest" thread.
But you may want to check out my post a few posts up.

That sounds way too much. Working the mailroom at work, I can mail a large business sized envelope, with 1/2" of papers in 'em, and it's usually less than $2 for first class flat. Did you get a quote at the Post Office for this?phjrsaunt wrote: What's personally frosting my cookies is that it's going to cost $4.90 to mail each envelope by USPS media mail. Have a designated person at each venue who distributes....when someone places an order with you, they give quantity and where they'll pick up, such as Frisco, Great Woods, Alpine etc....that way a bunch are sent to each designated person who volunteers to pass them out, thus saving on shipping.phjrsaunt wrote:Auntie's "full discolosure" statement for Sunday![]()

Those not doing a show, unfortunately, would have them shipped to their home, at additional cost.
