Maui. 5th row center. Under a island moon with Orion on the horizon. GRASS venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Warm breeze. A pick landed on my arm. I was with SGH. Jimmy sang "Jolly Mon," which I played for ABQKeet when he was a little boy. It was perfection.

Re: What was your most favorite Buffett show ever?
I'll never have that feeling of awe that I had at my first Buffett show on thursday 12/9/99 in West Palm.
My buddy and I did not know anything about the Buffett concert experience. We showed up at the lot around 4pm. Now I realize that is much too late to show up. All we had were flowered shirts and a 12 pack of Bud Light. We made a cooler by dumping ice in the box and sat back taking it all in. We were amazed at how folks were going all out with costumes, their tailgate decorations and how friendly everybody was. The show was great and we danced around like a couple of fruitcakes on the lawn.
The next morning instead of driving back to Jacksonville we drove all the way to Key West in his Jeep with the top down and doors off. That was the moment I knew my next vehicle would be a Jeep.
I called my wife at 8pm on friday night from a payphone on Duval St and she was angry so I told her that we got sidetracked and were in Daytona eating. We were only in Key west about an hour but we had a blast throwing back a few at Captain Tony's, still in awe. We drove all night to get home and I came clean. Maybe she had a right to be mad since she was 8 months preggers and also at the time our budget was really tight.
The whole 2 days was sort of like a religious experience.
Now, if we're talking actual performance, Tampa 08 was my favorite.

June 8, 2006 Cincinnati.
was talking to KD Moore and Fingers after their gig for the Cincinnati PHC when Fingers got the call from Mac to play that night with Jimmy.
Was fantastic to see Fingers onstage with the CRB that night for the first time in 6 years!

Favorite show was the first night at Wrigley Field--amazing.
Most memorable/meaningful--August 26, 2004, the night after a dear friend died, and Jimmy did Banana Republics as the final encore--brought me to tears.

Re: What was your most favorite Buffett show ever?
Can't decide, I have three most favorite shows:
Both Fillmore Concerts, front row for both (yeah, man). Best parties ever!
Third: 2005 Santa Barbara concert. David Crosby sang the high parts on "Southern Cross". And Jack Johnson did "PIrate Looks At Forty" with Jimmy and the band. Jack sang, "I'm an under 30 victim of fate".. very funny moment! Kinda blew Jimmy away and the whole band kinda lost it for a second or two! Amazing evening on the Left Coast.

Re: What was your most favorite Buffett show ever?
My favorite was a concert in the late 90's in West Palm Beach. The tailgaiting was superb. Buffett fans are friendly and generous people. While my wife and I were cruising around the parking lot, we were offered and accepted a half a lobster tail each fresh off the grill. We also ate some tasty clam chowder from some different fans. We chatted with some folks who had a perfect bar set-up on the back of their Cadillac and they were drinking margaritas out of crystal glasses. They were really fun to talk to. When the tailgaiting was at its peak, Jimmy flew his plane over the crowd three or four times while tipping his wings.
My tickets for the show were some of the best I've ever had being ten or eleven rows back. Buffett played some great songs at this show and when he played The Bob Roberts Society Band, I remember just feeling good and everything seemed right in the world. The memories from this concert are fond ones.

The first Paris concert and then the second Paris concert. The venue made it intimate and a great experience. Got guitar picks from both shows.

Re: What was your most favorite Buffett show ever?
Recently it would have to be the Fillmore in 2007 - our 2oth wedding anniversary. Other than that it would be hard to choose between my first show in 1978 and some of the shows at the Carowinds Pavillion in the early 80's
