Recently it would have to be the Fillmore in 2007 - our 2oth wedding anniversary. Other than that it would be hard to choose between my first show in 1978 and some of the shows at the Carowinds Pavillion in the early 80's

First night at Wrigley---ended w/ City of New Orleans from the bleachers.
Other than that....ALL OF THEM!!! And the anticipation for the next one.

I want to go back down and lie beside the sea there.
With a tin cup for a chalice
Fill it up with good red wine...or Rose, as Jimmy said!!!

Has to be the one last year at the Waikiki Shell, closest I've EVER been to the stage until then, and while it looked like rain, it held off until after the concert was over (good thing because we were all outside
)
I still remember what Jimmy said before he started to play OPH, something like "what the heck, we're all in paradise already...."

The one I haven't been to yet, in a small venue, where we all get to meet Jimmy and the band after the show, and it goes on and on and on....

Re: What was your most favorite Buffett show ever?
Raleigh, NC...campus of NC State at Carter Finley stadium sometime in '98. A few very strange events that night:
it rained a monsoon
jimmy got down on his back and did the gator
jimmy took is t-shirt off and tossed it in the crowd at the end (yes, bare chested)
jimmy closed with James Taylor's "Carolina"...or whatever it's called...you know the song
and the strangest reason it was a great time...I like my cocktails as much as the next parrothead, but there was no alcohol served at the stadium and somehow it made it all the more exciting, fun, crazy...
Anyway....that's my story and i'm stickin' to it!

Yes, ma'am...SchoolGirlHeart wrote:For me, Anguilla. The entire experience was amazing.
And I agree also "this trip was special not only for the show but because of the people (person) I was with. Good memories forever."

Hands down St Barts Le Select 60th celebration. It's been said before but seeing JB in his element was incredible.

It was my first look baby that's all it took

Well that would be a good Idea going to 9 games maybe that would give the cubs a chance, but they have to get to the playoffs first.HD18JBGuy wrote:0-4 deficit? Wow, did I miss a few games that year? But, yes, that was amazing.

The Hurricane Hannah show.... When Jimmy said "let it rain." It was indeed special, I sure wish I had a picture of the lawn when that happened but I'm glad I got to live it. It must have been a hoot for the people in the dry seats.

Too bad I use to love, love, love the Red Sox...until many of their fans became overly arrogant.

Re: What was your most favorite Buffett show ever?
There have been 3.
1. The "infamous" Buckeye Lake show 1993.
2. Pittsburgh 1995 from the 6th row.
3. The Buckeye Lake show in 1995 in the monsoon.
many other memorable ones but it isnt an accident my faves all come from back in the day when it was just a little less planned, a little more erratic and a lot less programmed.

Re: What was your most favorite Buffett show ever?
It occurs to me that what made my special shows "special" was usually the people I was with. The only shows that feel like they were kind of 'vanilla' are those where I was sitting alone and didn't even connect with the people sitting around me.

I know exactly what you mean, Jen!
It's kinda like those here at home listening on RM and posting on the setlist thread rather than just listening to the show alone.
