Speaking of vacations, I just got this in an e-mail. Check it out it's pretty
amazing, even if you aren't a Catholic or Italian.
After you link on the site below and select an image and it appears, then HOLD DOWN THE LEFT MOUSE BUTTON AND SLOWLY MOVE THE CURSOR AROUND THE ROOM
http://www.vatican.va/various/basiliche ... ex-en.html
The most awesome thing I have ever seen on the net. The Vatican virtual tours.
You can also use the wheel on the mouse to move closer or back away.

I'm with you, let's go!!! Dukes on Waikiki Beach... Wiamea Bay... Sunset Beach... watching those enormous waves - what a sight to behold!Glorfindel7 wrote:Hawaii... Island of Oahu
(I like the beach in Waikiki, but the REAL fun is driving the island in a rented car...)
(And one of these days I'll upload my pictures so that all of you can view them)

I spent many wonderful summer weekends camping at Ludington State Park. Beautiful beach! I'll bet there are tons of people who don't know that the great lakes have some gorgeous white sand beaches with dunes (they are however missing palm trees) But I'll bet I could post some of my sunset pictures on the great lakes and people would think they were tropical beaches.spartan1979 wrote:Ludington, Michigan (in August).

I just like going to spanish speaking countries...none in particular.

All time favorite is Tulum, Mexico.
I'm not sure I'll ever top that vacation.
My "go to" place is Cudjoe Key, Fl.
We've been there multiple times and love it.
Lazy days on the dock or boat but still close enough to Key West.

Favorite vacation spot? Where was I last? Where am I going next?
I've never really had a bad vacation (unless you count the one that I took with TXME). The places that I've been back to the most are Key West and Cozumel.
Penny and I have not vacationed any place that we would not return, but there are still so many places that we would like to go. There are likely to be beaches involved!

Driving East and lots of places along the way. Lake Jackson casinos, New Orleans, Biloxi, Mobile, Gulf Shores, Destin...
We always enjoy Gulf Shores...but loved Captiva/Sanibel and of course, Key West.
Was very pleased with cruise to Alaska and feel the need to return to Seattle and Victoria, BC. We loved Vancouver Island.

We been to so many beautiful places......so far
the best beach I've been on is Trunk Bay on St. John......but I have so many more to see......as long as I can see them with my husband, I know I'll have a blast......
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

The beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. It's just so pretty. The sand is sugar white with just enough natural areas to offset the commercial areas. Fantastic!
