Calling all teachers, students, kids, parents, etc...

My family and I are about to embark on a new adventure...providing virtual field trips to school's whose kids have fallen victim to budget cuts and won't be able to leave their schools for the real thing. We will be sailing our 25 foot Macgregor Venture sailboat the length of the Hudson River, stopping at all kinds of cool places, and meeting some very interesting people. We are still in the "beta" phase of getting things up and running, so if you have a minute stop by our website and check it out and, hopefully, leave some comments and suggestions. If you know more about this web design thing than I do (I know next to nothing) please lend us a hand. Also, if you are a teacher, or the parent of a kid whose school could use this program, please let me know. There is a huge world out there and unfortunately so many kids don't get to see much of it. We are taking our first baby steps in bringing some really fun, educational places right to the kids in their classrooms. We are using all the latest technology (streaming online video, Skype, Twitter, email) and personal visits to each classroom to get kids involved in what we are doing.

It all comes down to three simple things...explore. dream. discover. If we can teach kids to do that, the world will be a better place.
