Alright folks, my first post. I am going to the show in ATL. I'll be driving over from Montgomery. Here's the deal, a good friend of mine, who I met while working at the US Embassy in Nigeria, is flying in from Nigeria to Orlando then driving up to Atlanta for the show. She comes to the U.S. two or three times where my family and hers spend some time at her home listening to (and sometimes singing...poorly) Jimmy tunes while we drink Loaded Coronas and/or Margaritas and play fooseball. Anyhoo...this will be both of our first Jimmy concerts. We're really looking forward to the "pregame" festivities. What I've gathered so far is come to the venue around 12 and try to park in the gravel lot. Any other pointers any of you folks can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Pace yourself. You don't want to waste the tickets and money you spent on them by being so over the top drunk that you can't go/don't remember the concert.

I know I'm not as funny as i think I am, but that doesn't stop me from making the joke anyway.

This will sound ironic coming from me (not to you, but to people who know me) but be sure to pace yourself. It's a long day, and the jello shots and ice luges and boat drinks and loaded beers will sneak up on you before you know it. remember to eat (or bring a friend who will remind you) and don't be shy. It's a fun fun bunch of people you're going to be spending the day with. If you go to the "Pre-concert gathering/Who's going to..." topic you will find a thread for the Atlanta show. Pop in there and introduce yourself.

Get there early. If you aren't going to meet up with the BN'rs and caravan over there's no sense wasting the day away doing something that isn't tailgating. There's plenty of friends you haven't met yet in strange parking lots around the country.

Jack, I'm not sure how well you "pace " yourself. You're a riot dude. Any chance of seeing u in Atlanta?

I rarely do. Thank you very much. And I never say never, but I wouldn't expect it.

P.S. Ask your friend from Nigeria if he has the $33 million he promised me in that e-mail a while back. I sent him my bank account number. Let me know if he needs anything else.
