Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o

Like others have said, stay in the suburbs for much cheaper and take the T (MBTA) in. You do NOT want to drive in Boston. :o

There's a Sheraton in Braintree a couple of miles from the Quincy Adams Red Line T stop.
Buckminster is nothing to be ashamed of. Nice old hotel that offers suites. Right around the corner from Boston Beer Works and Fenway.
Did you hear the one about me being a punk?
Did you hear the one about me being a drunk?
Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another f**** sheep in the herd?
Did you hear the one about me giving a s***?
Cause if I ever did I don't remember it.

Emphasis on OLD. We stayed there last summer in a 2 bdrm suite for 3 nights.
Of the 4 lamps, 1 had a functioning bulb.
The refridgerator didn't work.
1 of the 2 TVs had no sound.
The chairs had stains and tears in the fabric.
The handles for the hot and cold water for the sink were mismatched.
Despite repeated requests (in english and spanish) housekeeping never changed the sheets when they "cleaned" the room.
The shower wouldn't stop running.
The ice machines on 3 floors were broken.

I brought all these problems to management's attention, most the first night. They did manage to scrounge up ONE bulb, so we at least had a functioning lamp in both rooms besides the weak overhead lights. At checkout we had it out with the manager and he only charged us for one night. He seemed very bored by it all, probably because he goes through it constantly.

In retrospect I should've spent the extra $55/nt and stayed at the Hotel Commonwealth on the next block. Now THAT is a hotel!

Might as well get on the T because she's going to need a Charlie card and feel comfortable with it if she comes to school here. FYI - They "visit" other schools. Tell her the boys from MIT are really smart but seem to be socially awkward so parties are not worth it. :D

Oh....and if it's warm, take the "T" ferry just for the fun of it. They serve wine and beer and the sunsets are beautiful..... 8)
You know, you never let me know when you're at BC..... I live 5 miles from it.
I know! I'm sorry Ravi....we were only there once this school year and had to deal with "girl at college drama" and then raced home for the two Nissan concerts. We didn't go up for the swim meet in January because she was injured. I still have your number and I promise to call when I'm there next.....we bring her up the first week in September and then return for swim parents weekend in October :D
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"
