You have obviously never cared for a person who could die, simply from eating. F*ck your nuts.

Whoa - Obviously I offended you with my tongue and check comments about peanuts – SORRY. I do have a nephew who is very allergic to nuts and believe it or not kiwi and kiwi products. My point here wasn’t that I couldn’t have peanuts on an airplane – my REAL point/question was related to why we didn’t hear much about nut allergies years ago. Peace!

Simple - we didn't have the technology we had years ago.

This link gives some reasonable hypotheses as to why the increase in peanut allergies. I've also been given very similar reasons about why, at age 60, I developed allergic rhinitis.

I am allergic to beer...actually the hops in beer. After one beer, my eyes get red, my head gets all stuffy and I sometimes break out in hives. But..hey..no pain..no gain!

You know the next step in your allergy could be the inability to breathe? Seriously, if I were you I wouldn't drink beer. A person can be mildly allergic to something and then all of a sudden they get such a severe form of anaphylaxis they require immediate medical attention. I'm not trying to lecture you, just don't want anything bad to happen to you.

My best friend had a bizzare alcohol related allergy. He would be perfectly fine through 2 or 2 1/2 drinks then he would go into a violent sneezing fit. After about 5 mintues it would go away and he'd have no other adverse affects the rest of the night.
