Does the Zac Brown Band qualify as Coral Reefers now?
I understand that they are and always will be the ZBB and are damn fine musicians in their own right but after having performed with Jimmy (and the Coral Reefers) do they qualify for status as Reefers?

No, I wouldn't think so. It was a show about ZBB and who they chose as their influence (Jimmy), not a Jimmy Buffett & the CRB show.

I would say no, would you say George Strait, Clint Black, Alan Jackson or any other artist that has played with JB are CRB members now... Ilo Ferreira, Jake Shimabukuro & Sonny Landreth I would say have earned the Title of new CRB members... Just my 2 cents

"honorary" Coral Reefers perhaps. ![cheeky-grin [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]](./images/smilies/cheeky-grin.gif)

I'd say on that day, in that situation, the Reefers were honorary members of the ZBB. ![cheeky-grin [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]](./images/smilies/cheeky-grin.gif)

Re: Does the Zac Brown Band qualify as Coral Reefers now?
No. ZBB is one of my favorite bands. However, in my opinion, they are very different from Jimmy and the Coral Reefers. First off, I would classify them as country. I would not classify the Coral Reefers as country. For forty years, Jimmy has defied classification. Secondly, when ZBB gets into their instrumental jam sessions, they remind me of Blues Traveler and possess elements of Southern Rock. I would classify ZBB as ZBB and the Coral Reefers as Coral Reefers. Two separate bands who are uniquely themselves.
