because money doesn't bring happiness only doing what you truly enjoy can make every day feel; as if you were not working, because when you do what you like it really isn't work. :D :D :D
If you want it, you can do it.
I started working PT at a dive shop here in Vermont back in 2003 doing retail. Since then I've taken a bunch of classes and can repair 4 different manufacturers equipment, and just completed my Divemaster certification last year. Not sure what my next steps are but thinking my instructors certification and a commercial boaters license so I can haul people out to the dive sites. Eventually we are moving to FLA and I hope to do it down there, but til then, I still enjoy it!
You do NOT have to quit your job to make your dreams come true, you just have to decide on a path to get there and take baby steps to make it reality. :D
thanks for the comment. im in college right know when i get done in dec. ive been trying to decide whether to go after that dream im about 80 20 decided on attempting that dream.
What are you studying? Why not change your major to Marine Biology or something like that where you could make diving part of your job?

I'm trying to figure out how to re-train myself for a job that would be more satisfying but the problem is what I want to do requires an internship where it would not be possible to work for enough money to pay my bills AND do the internship at the same time.

Why not plan for it by deciding how much you'll need to get thru the internship, and then cutting back and saving til you can afford to do it.....or take on a room mate or a second job?
If you want it, you CAN do it. :D

I've always loved computers so I'm really doing my dream job right now :D
(But on the other hand I'd love to become a front man for a tropical rock band that plays at Duke's every weekend :) )

I love your enthusiasm, a second job is out, I can't go to school AND work 2 jobs. I'm thinking about selling my house as it's too small to accomodate a roomate without me wanting to kill them and I haven't had a roomie since I was 30 and I didn't enjoy it then. (Except of course the "sig other" roomie) I have to figure out what it would cost and how many courses I can take at night and online/weekends before getting to the internship point.
