What's your Dream Job?

So I’m sitting at home tonight watching Man Versus Food – you know the TV show where this guy, Adam Richman, tours the country looking for “America’s Greatest Pig-out Spots”. I’m thinking – how do you get a job like this?

So I’m asking this group – if you could do anything for a living – what would be your dream job? Don't tell me "play in the Coral Reefer Band" because it's safe to say most of us would love that job.

For me…my dream job just might be working as one of those guys who sits on the beach at a tropical resort and entertains the guests with sailboat rides, snorkeling, and beach games.

I'd love to work in a greenhouse growing flowers and designing container gardens.

But I already do pretty much a dream job. I work in an artist co-op making jewelry.

Professional beach bum

I'd work in a scuba shop, working as a divemaster & equipment repair tech. (Which I already do part time)

bartend ( which I have done)

If I won the Powerball, I'd give up my 40hr/week job, but I'd still have my hands in the dive shop, and would probably spend time on both sides of the bar because I find it fun interacting with people

Either a trop rock artist making some good time music, a good living and seeing some great sights
OR
I would love to own a rustic bar with a nautical vibe. Not really on the beach but more so on a creek bringing the ocean vibe to everybody. Live tropical music, an old jukebox slap full of Buffettesque music, a dock for boaters to tie up to. Pool tables, great finger food .....all the fixins. I'd come in and sit at my own table in the corner and have a good time watching everybody else have a good time. In my dream it would all run so smooth but it would probably end up more like a Norman Paperman caper.

Owning / Operating a small restaurant (somewhere tropical of course)
Where I only have 8 - 10 tables open from 4-9 daily..
Of course, we can assume I'm already wealthy so I really don't need the money..

Taking in unwanted/abused dogs and horses and making them into happy, confident animals again. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much way to actually make money doing this so that's the main reason I can't do that for a living.

I had never heard the term "container gardens" until this weekend when Connie and I saw some at a Lowe's.
My comment to Connie was something along the lines of "Looks like something people would spend a lot of money and time on to get rid of"
What's the appeal of something like this?

I would not want to be in a band. It is all Carny Work. I was a convention decorator and loved it! Would do it again, but it is not easy work.

My dream job is not to have one!

If I did have one it would be working with dogs and horses. Self-care shop for dogs that had a huge training facility to teach those compelete a$$ out there on how animals are to be treated and train therapy dogs. The horse would be my fun escape (always has been). In fact in the rain, going to go see my horse now..

OK that just triggered an old idea I had..

The show is called "On the Town ___________"

Each episode is in another city. "On the Town Seattle"

It would highlight the city and it's night life.
Everything from the City's Opera, Symphony, Theater etc
to the various other entertainment choices such as Rock and Roll culbs to
Country Music places, Comedy Clubs and everything in between.
All hosted by the lovable yours truly. :D
