Concert was great. The preparty at Sports Page was fun, but not the same as Irvine.

if you were paying attention to the posts before the show, you had plenty of warning about the no tailgating policy at shoreline. i dunno why that is, but if anybody out there is in the know on this, pass it along. Irvine is the place to go for the fab tailgate experience on the west coast.

The reason for the no tailgating policy is the expense involved in cleaning up the mess. Jimmy has been at Shoreline since the late 1980's. Tailgating was tolerated early on, but became non grata when the mess and the associated cleanup expense continued to escalate. I'm sure getting the fans into the arena early to enjoy those $12 beers and $15 margaritas might have something to do with it.

yeah, I agree; nothing compares to Irvine or Alpine Valley; but still was fun partying with everyone at the Sports Page and then in the VIP parking lot (I was the guy with the guitar); great meeting you all and see you in Vegas this weekend (LMS Fri, Street Party Sat, show Sat night)...
