Tell me about it. Was first in line on wednesday and could only get last row of 102. Not a complaint though. I'm really happy to have tickets - just had my hope a little higher.

Played around with the interactive map on ticketmaster to see if I could get anything better, and yes, it was a disaster. What is with the rule not letting you leave an unoccupied seat. Plenty of great threesomes, but I couldn't go with the threesome. Then I would have to get new clothes, grow a mustache, and find new orgy friends.

Ended up with two in 103 P. Was first in line at Shoreline this morning and had high hopes of much better tickets. Been first in line on two other occasions in the past and ended up no worse than about ten rows back. Apparently there was a Citibank pre-sale yesterday. Knew nothing about that one. For those of you who watch Oprah, tune in on Wednesday. One of the security guards at Shoreline is on the makeover show. He showed me the before and after. Pretty amazing.

The new "interactive seating chart" was an epic fail. Both my computers stalled on that, finally I got a message that TM was having trouble loading the page so let them pick the seats for me. Duh, it's lawn, that's what I wanted to do in the first place! So it then went back to the old method. I got hung up debating the shipping method since I have always had a "real" ticket...but in this era of pinching pennies it just didn't make sense to pay the extra fee for UPS.

I'm still working on my cat-herding skills. Fortunately, I have time. And like it or not, I am learning patience.

On the subject of pre-concert events, a few days ago I had a couple of very worthwhile and informative conversations, one with the owners of the Sports Page, and one with the folks in our local PHC.

The good news is that I now know somewhat more about some of the possible things that folks are attempting to plan for the pre-show. The Sports Page has their entertainment license back, for one.

The bad news is, nothing is definite yet, and probably won't be for at least another six weeks. It's way too early for anything to be cast in stone, and there are a few variables that will take a while to get nailed into place. In the absence of anything definite, all I can say is stay tuned. On the plus side, we've got plenty of time to sort this out and hopefully get stuff done right.

Me...I've got my fingers crossed.

For me the $100 saved on a lawn seat will be put to good use. I was looking through the 'San Francisco Visitors Planning Guide' today. I got it back in May and kind of forgot about. I guess since its only 40 days till I arrive, I can start to get excited!
