RHUMBA MAN - a plea from the ladies of BN

OK I know I speak for many ladies here when I express my dismay at the deletion of Rhumba Man from the setlist last night. Come on Jimmy - how often does a guy your age get to be a sex symbol??? (Until Clooney reaches his 60's not often!)

If you want suggestions as to what it could replace I'm sure there are lots of opinions here about that too!

Pretty please Jimmy?? [smilie=battingeyes.gif] [smilie=battingeyes.gif] [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

For some reason your post just reminded me that we didn't hear "Why don't we get drunk"

Rhumba Man was a definite highlight at Frisco last year. The way he moved those hips, oh man. Sex symbol is right!! Then the album came out and we've gotten to listen to it over and over again. And then he didn't perform it last night. What a let down :( I really enjoyed the show aside from that though. Jimmy if you're listening, bring Rhumba Man to Texas when you come!!! The Woodlands and Frisco. PLEASE!!!!

Absolutely want our Rhumba Man!
And hope it is one of the songs they choose to stream live - for those of us who only can listen to the shows!

I am really having trouble wrapping my brain around Buffett being a sex symbol.

To me he's a story teller rather than a sex symbol but I sure do love the song! :D

Oh PERFECT! Cute but never my favorite and if he's going to bring back songs from the past in any case, there are a lot that are better than that one!

I *love* Zac Brown Band and I *adore* Where The Boat Leaves From. But I'd trade it for Rhumba Man in a heartbeat.

But the are limits.... I wouldn't trade Back Where I Come From. :P

I definitely agree. Maybe it is because I am an old hen rather than a young parrot, but I find Jimmy extremely sexy and missed Rhumba Man last night. (However, as far as I am concerned, Bank of Bad Habits made up just a teeny bit for that omission.) But I also missed Beautiful Swimmers. And I love WDWGDAS, but he did not do that in last year's tour either except as an insert to We Have a Lot to Drink About.

Sex symbol?
Let's see - twinkling blue eyes, dynamic smile, silver curls, that way of walking and talking...

(sigh) .... ladies, consider wrapping something other than your brain around the man
and perhaps you'll get his attention.

Here is the thing about Rhumba Man for me, When I hear it, I can never get it out of my mind. It is my favorite song on Hotel, by a mile. As far as the sexy part, I doubt JB needs much help in that department, he has already said he goes for younger women, and he lived with several awhile, and at his concerts if you look down to the left of the stage, you will see a line-up of women that seem to need to talk to him badly. Just saying.
