scored lawn tickets a few days ago, only been to a few vegas shows, so this will be my first real tailgate Buffett wise. takin my lovely lady with me this time around....she has never experianced a Buffett show/tailgate...i dont think she knows what she's in for....lookin forward to chillin' with all the parrotheads! see ya'll there!

My tickets arrived in the mail yesterday...Had a small celebration...then realized October is still 5 months away...

You know, I ordered mine on May 3rd and they still haven't shown up...

If you are looking for really nice rooms, try Priceline.com...We've always had great luck, super nice rooms for around $60-70 bucks...3 star rooms 5 to 10 minutes away....lookin forward to another great tailgate party and concert....Sail On!

Only 148 days until our first Irvine concert ! Any suggestions for transportation from Newport Beach to the concert? We're flying into Santa Ana and staying at Newport Beach for a few days.

Rent a car. There is very little public transportation here that wouldn't take you all day to get there from Newport.

Depends on when they open the gates. 3 years ago they didn't let anyone in until 2:30.

Here is the hotel we're staying at... only about 5 minutes away and kind of tucked away. We usually stay at the Courtyard in Lake Forest where Jimmy's crew stays but the day before tickets went on sale the rate jumped up by $60. Candlewood is just as nice and slightly closer for about $85. If we're not destroyed by the time we get back to the hotel, we'll party with you.

As far as the gates, I been going to this place for about 20 years and they usually open the lot earlier then the annouced opening time, which they post a few days before the show (usually around 3 pm).

I hope the SC frat boys have something better to do this year! I remember my first beer too, dude.

For those of you who haven't got your tickets for the show yet, this is the month to do it....

Ticketmaster has waived their fees for the month of June...

Looks like there are only Terrace Level and Lawn seating left for the show.

You will SAVE $22.55 per ticket in the Terrace

and $18.10 for the Lawn...

...every dollar helps...

This thread should be bumpin! I was told by my PHC that Irvine is supposed to be quite the party this year - where is everyone?!

West coasters don't post as much as east coasters.....go figure. I used to hang out a lot on BN, but except for me and Rich, there are very few Californians here......

I fit the mold for West Coast members. I have very few posts considering how long I've been a member. I use it mostly to find people to tailgate with when we travel to concerts. It's been great for that so far. Hopefully Buffettnews can work it's magic for us again at Irvine.

Hey! Yep, we are all ready to tailgate. It's going to be us 2 girls and one newcomer, my best friend's cousin Shannon. He's a Buffett virgin! We shall have to initiate him properly.

I just posted this in the ticket exchange:

I hate to do it, but I have four of the best seats that I have ever had for sale. To make a long story short, we are traveling to Irvine to visit some friends of friends and I wanted to make sure that we had four seats before booking flights. Evidently the locals got six tickets at the same time I got our four. This means that we are using theirs that are 20 rows behind these seats.

The seats I have for sale are:
Lodge 7
Row BB
Seats 722 - 725
