Last time I looked PHJim was the guy in charge here not JB.
But I see your point.

A couple things, although I agree with at least the spirit of the OP...

*Margaritaville Cafes: I'm not sure that giving us a place to give JB money is really "giving back" to fans.

*I don't understand why any other artist would give stuff to Parrotheads.

Agree with your sentiments but as someone noted above it's phjim who runs this great BuffettNews site. In fact, if you look at the very bottom of the page, you see "This site is not directly affiliated with Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville.com, or Radio Margaritaville."

Oh I think that margaritaville restaurants definitely gives something back to the fans, and I sure as hell do not mind paying for what I get there. When I go to a margaritaville I get an atmosphere that I cannot get anywhere else unless I want to go to the islands. Normally, I have better things to do with my time than sit in a restaurant for three hours just doing nothing, but in the case of Margaritaville, it is another place that I do not have the opportunity to go to every day, and it is a place for me to escape to while living the sometimes crazy reality of life.In my opinion Jimmy does a lot for his fans compared to many artists, and I believe that he sincerely appreciates his fans.
