Our family will be spending some time in Orlando this July, seeing Mickey Mouse, Harry Potter, JD Spradlin, etc.
We thought we might want to get out of town for the day, maybe see the Space Coast (not Space Ghost).
Has anybody done a daytrip to Cape Canaveral from O-Town?
Any suggestions?

I did it with my nephew several years ago. It's an easy trip and we loved Canaveral. We took the bus tour and spent a lot of time in the various exhibits, came back took naps and then hit the parks again in the evenihg. It was great break from the mouse.

I'm pretty sure we ate at Canaveral. And Tony spent hours going through some of the rockets/planes that were set up for walk throughs. It has been sometime since we were there so I would bet that it is much better now than it was.
http://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/ I just checked out the web site and oh my, looks like you could spend a couple of days there now. There is a calendar of events. Shoot, I want to go through the Astronaut Training Experience myself.
Have a great time.

If you try going to Port Canaveral, great water side dining and cocktails are at Rusty's.

Thanks guys.
Rusty's and Grills both look like great places.
And I do need a new RonJon t-shirt.
