It was too easy of a setup to NOT take it. :) If I was really on the ball, I'd add a poll.

Too Funny Hocky Mon - I never gave it much thought as to why men like her in the American President.

Let's see...

She's a good bit more liberal than me but she's not hard to look at and she's a bit sassy...yea I guess I liked her. :pirate:  :pirate:

Sorry that such a great movie reminds you of dirtbag. :(

This sequence always cracks me up:

President Andrew Shepherd: You're attracted to me, but the idea of physical intimacy is uncomfortable because you only know me as the President. But it's not always going to be that way, and the reason I know that is there was a moment last night when you were with ME, not the President. And I know what a big step that was for you. So, Sydney, I'm in no rush. Here's my plan. We're going to slow down, and when you're comfortable, that's when it's going to happen.
[Sydney emerges from the bathroom wearing nothing but one of his shirts]
President Andrew Shepherd: Perhaps I didn't properly explain the fundamentals of the slowdown plan.
Sydney Ellen Wade: [feeling the bed] No, you explained it great.
President Andrew Shepherd: Are you nervous?
Sydney Ellen Wade: No.
President Andrew Shepherd: Good. My nervousness exists on... several levels. Number one, and this is in no particular order, I haven't done this in a pretty long time. Number two, uh, any expectations that you might have, given the fact that I'm... you know...
Sydney Ellen Wade: [approaching seductively] The most powerful man in the world?
President Andrew Shepherd: Exactly, thank you. I think it's important you remember that's a political distinction that comes with the office. I mean, if, uh, Eisenhower were here instead of me, he'd be dead by now... and number three...
Sydney Ellen Wade: Andy...

The move has a lot of funny one-liners. Michael J Fox's character is great too.

And like JollyMon said in the other politically charged thread, the speech at the end does have truth to it.

Annette is 52 years old. I don't think she has aged that poorly. Of course, being married to Warren Beatty probably hasn't helped. :)

Yeah, I'll agree with that. And does ------- start with l, end with n and rhyme with thespian?

Forget the rest - Sandra Bullock has aged perfectly (she's turning 46). Most 20 somethings don't look this good! :pirate: What the hell's wrong with her husband?

Uh, I've always been a fan of Benning (and I'm not a thespian although a few good friends are and I couldn't care less). Loved her also in Bugsy and many others. Just love the movie American President...just a cool story and fun acting. :wench:
