bahia grass?

Any BNers know a thing or two about grass? I'm talking lawns not ganja
I've sodded my yard with Floratam St Augustine grass yard twice now in five years. We're allowed to water down here twice a week and that's what I do. This winter had a few freezes most of it is pretty much dead and does not look to be coming back. Does anyone have bahia grass and do you like it? It seems to not be as finicky as St Augustine and hard to kill. I see it all over the sides of the roads and there are a few neighbors on my block with bahia and their yards look great and these neighbors seem to never be working in their yard as much as I am. I'm just sick of always trying to keep it alive. Now St Augustine looks great when all is going right but is seems so susceptible to diseases, bugs, etc. I'm thinking of going with Argentine Bahia. There is hardly any shade in my yard and I've heard bahia is good with that.
Any thoughts y'all?
