What exactly is the Pascagoula Run? Jimmy driving from where to where?

I believe it is a trip from Jimmy's family home in Mobile AL to his uncle Billy's home in Pascagoula Miss.

Read the semi-true story in Jimmy's book Tales from Margaritaville.

The story that he tells somewhere, maybe in Pirate looks at 50, is that he was in Mobile and going to his grandparents in Pascagoula. His uncle arrived unexpectedly and offered to drive him. He in fact had a red Jag XKE. I think this was a Saturday and they did not arrive until Sunday afternoon. I'll have to search my poor cluttered brain and try and remember where I read or heard the story. But I bet some other PH will know more than I do.

There was an article in a long ago Coconut Telegraph I believe about Ambition at Bay (some time poster) and a friend of his who actually DID the Pascagoula Run. They had a great time.
