It's one of my favorite places, and I don't get to enjoy them any more, since I'm in Colorado. :)

Obviously you have never been to White F'n Castle after the bars close up at 4am?????
Don't know that place--I am a big fan of Moody's Pub, near Loyola U.

We just got a Five Guys! [smilie=happydance.gif]

The burgers are great, the "original" burger is actually two patties! Get the cajun fries, yum.

I have *finally* learned to just order a small burger. Between that and a regular fries, that's probably enough cholesterol for a week. 8)

My wife and I split the order. I get the 2 patties she does the single. She orders the drink and we share. And I order the fries and we share that. Its a hell of alot cheaper to do that.

That sounds like what my wife and I do. Man, I may have to go there for lunch today.

i'm vegetarian, so my perspective is a bit different...

based on taste, i really like Red Robin (especially the one in Greensboro, because they serve locally brewed Natty Greene beer). they have countless burger setups to choose from, and they'll substitute a veggie patty for any of them. but it's really coporate and kinda has a kiddie theme...

but there's a local place downtown, East Village, that has a really great deck on the front of the building right by the sidewalk. i really love to sit out there in the sunshine under one of the market umbrellas and have a veggie burger and a cold beer and people watch when the weather is nice 8)

It's kind of hard to beat Steak-n-Shake. The first restaurant was in my home town. Then a second one was added. So you remeber those scense in American Grafitti where the kids "scooped the loop?" Well that was us back in the 60's between the two "gags" as we called them. Now they are in several states including Florida. I don't think you can beat their fries and the double chocolate milk shake with chocolate chips or chilli mac three ways. Oh and their double cheeseburger is pretty good also.

They have, I think it's called, a Whisky burger. It's like bbq sauce and onion straws. Good stuff.

There's a Fudruckers about 15-20 minutes from where I live, it's been there for at least 20 years, and I've never been there. I should give it a try one of these years. :D

I just found out there's a 5 Guys less than 5 miles away. I might take a ride tomorrow afternoon.

Long ago in Steelton, PA there was a bar called Gornik's. They had the
Brontosaurus Burger. Terry Hanratty of Notre Dame fame, and later played
with the Steelers, stopped by and had one. Said it was real good and
autographed a Notre Dame 1966 national championship banner. He was
the QB of that team. But back to the subject, they were really big and good
burgers. Now I got to Nathan's Cafe in Enola. REALLY good and only $4
on Mondays. :pirate:
