Having done the divorce thing, I wish the best of luck to both of them. I don't agree with a lot of their politics but I don't wish the pain of a divorce on anyone, with one or maybe two exceptions.

No matter who it is, a divorce after 40 years is a painful thing to contemplate.
I always make the (obvously wrong) assumption that after you hit 20 years or so everything should be smooth sailing.
