At the Sandbar show we saw a new Coral Reefer. When Peter sang Rocky Raccoon he wanted us to sing along. He looked out and saw a certain person who knew the words. He said "you, with the glasses, come on up here!" We almost died. My sweetie, TagAlong, aka Dave was chosen to sing with the band. He was so excited and totally freaked. He sang some of the song and then totally blanked on the words. I must admit that he his a pretty decent singer for an ordinary guy. Everyone was surprised that he sounded so well. Peter and John Frinzi helped him out when he blanked out. People came up to him and asked him for his autograph and even Nadria asked him if he was a singer. The band members were really great to him. We saw them at the NHPHC meet and greet on Saturday, got autographs and pictures. He will now be know as Rocky the Reefer!!

My camera battery died just before due to too many pictures from our amazing seats on Thursday. Thank goodness Marilyn and Jen had their cameras ready to capture this great moment.

Well well, who would have known...and we were so lucky to have been graced with "Rocky the Reefer" in St Barts last Nov. I am so happy for him. I bet he will be high from this for quite some time. Congrats!!

Carol Jim and I had discussed Dave's great "speaking" voice on the DVD narration of the different villas etc. (((Sing to me ROCKY)))))

I think all of our jaws just dropped when Peter zeroed in on Dave. That was definately a highlight of the evening!

I also heard that Rocky's autograph will be part of a club raffle item... sweet!

Just think,I get to say I was Dave's singing partner before he was famous..

It was surreal, we were just hanging out singing along with Rocky Racoon when Peter Mayer asked the crowd to sing the next verse. He started looking around the room kind of intently and I thought he's looking to see who knows the words, so I kept on singing. He looked right at me for a few seconds and then said "you, the guy in the glasses, come on up here!" Carol realized what was going on before I did and said go, go go, so before I could even think about it I was on stage. I leaned towards Peter to share his mic, but John Frenzi tapped me on the shoulder and pointed me to the one at center stage, where Nadira was just singing a few minutes ago. The music came around to my verse and I got the first two lines just fine but froze on the next two, looking at Peter like "what do I do now?". He put his arm around me and joked about tossing me off the stage, but he re-cued the band and we started at the same point with him feeding me the lines. That time I got through it, after which Peter started singing and I took that as my cue to leave. After they got through the rest of the song, Peter asked me to stand up and got the crowd to cheer for me, which was more than great.

It was too awesome for words. When we were getting autographs afterwards and I was thanking them for letting me share their stage, Jim, Peter, and John said I was great and Nadira actually asked me if I was a singer!!! Finally, my memory for lyrics paid off! It was the perfect end to a perfect day. I'm looking forward to getting the pics from Jen and Marilyn.

Thanks to everyone who was there and especially to the Coral Reefers, who really seemed to think I did OK!!

Rocky Reefer or SingAlong are better names than StapleHead. Glad you had a wonderful experience, Dave!
