A statement from concert organizers listed a four-ticket limit, and tickets are required for entry. Concert organizers plan to distribute as many as 35,000 tickets to the event.


However, Ticketmaster.com listings for the concert indicate a six-ticket limit. Ticketmaster.com also indicates that gates will open at 3 p.m. for a 5 p.m. show, so those in attendance apparently will get more show than those watching from home.

Now I am p!ssed that they will only be showing 1 1/2 hours of an all night event. I hope RM will be streaming the whole show.

Why are you p!ssed? I think we should be happy that they are showing any of it... They don't owe us CMT broadcasting or RM live streaming or even the concert. Good point MM. I was thinking back to when Farm Aid was a broadcasting all day event, as well as the Freddie Mercury Concert. And yes, I am extremely grateful and thankful that they are doing it!

I'm with you Michelle... this is a beautiful thing! Just the fact that it's happening is more than enough. If it's on RM, icing on the cake. If any part of it is on CMT, sprinkles on the icing on the cake. If they release a CD and / or DVD, cherry on the sprinkles on the icing on the cake. I will be completely thrilled with any glimpses I manage to see and hear from the event, and look forward to the details on the t-shirts that they mentioned would be available.

Anybody know how much the free concert tickets are going to be?

Ticketmaster Cost? I have to think that since they are distributing tickets through Ticketmaster due to the demand will be so high. Hopefully the Ticketmaster servers can handle the hit tomorrow morning. There have been rumors that the tickets will actually be $3, which would basically be the Ticketmaster fees. The TicketFast delivery through email is usually free with other ticket purchases. So when you go to get your tickets tomorrow morning, make sure you have a credit card handy if fees appear, or you may lose your tickets.

When Kenny Chesney did his free concert at Frisco, after they had to call the 1st one due to weather, I got tickets from Ticketmaster.. They were actually free... no fees. I had to pick them up at will call. This time I think we will just print them... Here's hoping!!!

Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band will take the stage at about 6:30 p.m. and will be joined by high-profile guests, including Toussaint, Brown and Chesney.

"I think Kenny's going to do at least two songs, I think one without Jimmy and one with Jimmy," Hamlin said Monday. "Zac's going to do at least two songs in the same manner, one with him one without him, maybe more, and hopefully we'll have something fun at the end with all of them."

Ebay just sold a set of four "free" tickets for $699.00. What the hell is wrong with people? I'm talking about the ones buying them. Selling them is bad enough, but to pay that much to hear the same songs we've heard for the last...well. Whatever. To each his own.

Four pavilion seats for a JB concert run over $600 for the same songs we've heard over and over, so how can you blame a buyer for paying $699 for a unique event?

Well you really can't but the point of the event is to attract tourists to the area to help stimulate the local economy, not the pocketbooks of the scalpers. That's where the shame comes in. You'd think they'd lay off for at least one freakin' show, especially one like this where the guys are playing for free.

I'm looking for 6 tickets myself. Made reservations as soon as it was announced. My thought was was a great way to kick-off my vacation by adding another day or two and catch the show. When it was announced as a free concert I thought how cool is that, then they announce there will be tickets. That's when the whole "I'm gonnna get screwed" feeling set in. Sure enough, went to the local Krogers to get tickets from "TicketMaster" this morning; only one in line, and was told they didn't sell tickets for the Alabama region in the local Ticketmasters. WTF? You don't sell tickets for that region? God forbid someone here in Indiana want to catch a show out West. Guess I'll just have to tell the family that getting tickets to Zigfried and Roy are out fo the question. ; )

Seriously, If anyone has spares that would be great. Otherwise, I'll just have to get them all a Colt 45 and a brown paper sack to sit out on the curb.
