Some people have criticized Jimmy for his response to the oil spill. It is so easy to judge another person's motivations. Often it is more fruitful to examine our own motivations. I think that the shallow-draft boats Jimmy has underwritten the production costs of and this free concert on the Gulf coast are genuinely decent things that he and others are doing.

DAMB IT!!! My youngest sister is getting married in North Alabama around the same time. These weddings are killing my Buffett trips this summer. Can't they all just elope ??!!!

A statement from concert organizers listed a four-ticket limit, and tickets are required for entry. Concert organizers plan to distribute as many as 35,000 tickets to the event.


However, Ticketmaster.com listings for the concert indicate a six-ticket limit. Ticketmaster.com also indicates that gates will open at 3 p.m. for a 5 p.m. show, so those in attendance apparently will get more show than those watching from home.
