I thought the
Texas Stadium showwas BIG and special for many, many reasons. Seeing George Strait and Alan Jackson along with Jimmy brought in lots of non-parrotheads. It was one of the longest and hottest days of my life.
From the way Jimmy talked, Wrigley Field show was very, very special and important to him!!

Each jimmy show is the biggest or best to someone in the crowd. Whether its because its their first one or their next one or because they got tickets for someone special etc.
Somewhere in each show there is a little magic happening.
But this one does have the ability to be the one that the non-parrothead world will remember due to the oil spill and the lives it has ruined.

I missed this show but made quite a few years (81-88 or so)
it was really Magic.. the Angels sitting next to the Seniors from Elk Grove High school. (the Angels bought the kids beer.. the kids had a care package from Thailand). the Nerds sitting next to the Cheerleaders (and doing well)
Gays Straights.. outlaws, Inlaws.. they all were there..
a once a year refuge
my first year was a local band called 415.. next Quarterflash
next Loverboy headline?? Foreigner yep and inbetween sets?
Sky diving and an Air show.. (old school, no jets ) wing walkers and all
what a time.. and the monday after? the DJs (and many attendees)
started wondering who was going to be there next year..
AWWWW I miss those

i would have loved to been able to go to that!!!!!!
but...i'm not sure the parents would have let their 9 year old do so

Actually Jimmy always talked about Jazz Fest in New Orleans, during his performance the crowd exceeded 125,000 this would have been about 7 years ago.

I saw Jimmy at Margaritaville in New Orleans the night before the big Jazz Fest event, he was in rare form, upbeat and rocking. It was a great moment for all 200 of us that were able to get in, the next day I can recall Jimmy with his fin up, hanging out of a window of a Black SUV, as he was leaving Jazz Fest. The Buffett magic was at one of the all time highs, New Orleans, no oil spill, people had money, and Jimmy was in his element, as was over 125,000 people, except those that needed a bathroom!
