I figure, if there is going to be sex ed, especially for kids that young, the parents should be involved in it. I'm not saying that the parents should be the only way to get this education but they should be involved.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Dont forget to add the wonderful music scene to that list of culprits. Parents keep an eye on what their kids watch, but let them listen to someone singing/rapping about a lot worse things...I agree completely. School systems don't teach kids to become sexually active. Television and movies and advertising are the culprits here. If parents are worried about lost childhood innocence, maybe they should have a look at the stuff being marketed to their elementary school aged children by the entertainment industry.
Basically, if you haven't talked to your child about sex in some detail before they leave elementary school, you've left it too late.
