Bummer for the $700 airline change fee.
Too bad the airlines won't at least donate the ridiculous charges to the cause.

Re: SAD NEWS ABOUT THURSDAY'S GULF SHORES CONCERT
Stage Stability??? SEriously MOVE THE STAGE!!!
I have to say this is really a wrecking ball to my mood. I was supposed to leave Wed to Gulf shores, already prepaid for the hotel, already paid for plan tickets and rental car, now I am going to struggle to go, add in that Delta are being jerks, $150 PER TICKET change and there are 3, I am guessing the hotel is going to keep my money as well, and we are no assured of any other place to stay.
I am VERY Bummed right now since we were already on a very tight budget to go.
To me Buffett and Friends should try and get in touch with airlines and local hotels and get them to work with us, maybe even utilize some BP dollars to help get their interest.
I am purely bummed, and am very close to not being able to go.
But seriously why not just move the even a tad inland or to the state parks?? If its ONLY because the stage isn;t going to be solid, it should have been an easy fix

Re: SAD NEWS ABOUT THURSDAY'S GULF SHORES CONCERT
The economy bytes, and so many people made last minute plans for this week. It would be nice if the airlines showed that they had a heart and waved their $150 fee!
I know it probably doesn't apply here, but something to keep in mind. IF an airline changes your flight times that doesn't fit your plans, it is within your right to change them without the penalty. AA changed my plans for KW, so I called them and complained. I was able to get an earlier flight and land in KW earlier with no fee.
I would say keep calling the airline that you are dealing with (a couple of times a day) to see if they can refund the penalty. Does insurance protect you against bad weather?
