Speaking of parties, you want me to bring any beer from here?
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Still looking for two tickets so I can be officially invited to attend this party. But, if not, I have no problem crashing a party on my home turf.

I believe we'll be at the LaQuinta right in that area off 59. Now trying to decide where to fly into...Mobile or Pensacola? Sounds like the drive from Pensacola will be much worse on Sunday morning. Wasn't planning on Saturday arrival but might have to change that plan as well. Need to catch first flight out on Monday though. Does anyone know of any shuttle services from either airport?

Wooo hoooooo!!! I forgot. Where do we get groceries? :D :D

Looking forward to seeing y'all!
Someone mentioned a Winn Dixie near a liquor store with good prices on the way from Pensacola in Perdido Key
Thanks, Jane. I just googled for Winn Dixie and I see there is also one north of The Hangout on 59 about 1.9 miles from the Best Western. Hello JUNK FOOD & BEER!! :D :D

I think the La Quinta is sold out. I would suggest priceline.com or something like that to get rooms. I know a lot of places are sold out.

If anyone is interested and has the time, take a tour of Fort Morgan and a ferry ride over to Dauphin Island. The fort on Dauphin Island isn't as interesting. These are the forts that protect Mobile Bay and where the famous DAMB the Torpedoes was uttered. Also, for those adventurous ones, go down Fort Morgan road at night to the federal park. Take bright flashlights and look for gators. Their eyes glow at night. It is awesome. Anyone who may be around Pensacola, check out McGuire's Irish Pub. My cousins own it. Just some random things we always did growing up down there.

Penny, Our Goddess Of All Moderators...please don't slap my hand cause I don't really know where to post this.

We all know the reason why this concert is taking place and what it's taking to put this concert on and the economic impact it will have for the local economy. Jimmy is footing the bill out of his own pocket along with a few other sponsors. No money from BP...it's all from Bubba!!!!!!

Jimmy's heart is always here along the Gulf Coast. He comes to the Gulf Coast more then 3 or 4 times a year to visit.

Yes, Jimmy is not only a musician, he is a businessman and a giving soul. He knew he had to help in some way. Our little bit of paradise was going to be a "ghost town". With this concert this weekend people will get a paycheck, the servers will get tips, the shops will have customers and everyone will be able to make that house note, pay rent and have food on their table.
How is this going to happen??? It's because of all of you that will be coming to support our little bit of paradise. Thank you all so much!!!!!

Now, I can't leave out the "Crazy Sista". Lucy has become our voice along the Gulf Coast. You all have seen her on national television. The ones of you that have met Lucy knows she is a "southern lady" through and through. When you see her on national television that's just how she is 24/7. Lucy has poured herself into everything and anything she can do to help with this oil spill. Lucy does not want our little bit of paradise to become a "ghost town"..it's the place that we all along the Gulf Coast have loved since our childhood.
Lucy is just like me...we want our beaches back and the wildlife to be safe.

This is where "Our Goddess Of All Moderators" is probably going to slap my hand.

It so disheartens me that someone on BuffettNews is sending hateful mail to Lucy on LuLu's facebook and also on one of Jimmy's facebook page. No, don't ask who it is...I will not tell you. If this person is reading this they know who they are. I just wonder how much devotion and help they are giving to this oil spill.

This person is not a "True Parrot Head"...WE all know what it is to give back to the community to make it a better place to live.

Again, thanks to everyone for making the trip this weekend even if you have tickets or you don't have tickets.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and giving you all a "BIG" ole southern HUG!

If you look at the concertsforthecoast website, Chesney and ZBB no longer appear on the photo. Earlier tonight it was just JB, Winchester and Allen. Now another face has been added. I assume it's that opening act Romero.

well.....i think that is a pretty darn good sign zbb will not be there. this thing has lost a ton of star-power. i have never heard of the opening act. pretty safe bet i will only catch buffett...i dont give two hoots about the rest of the line-up now.

but, it's still jimmy...still jimmy on the beach, and i know i will have a blast.

I have to agree. Jesse will be worth seeing, but unless they come up with some other big names, just have to hope Jimmy plays for 4 hours to make up the difference. Maybe Fingers will drop by since he's living close by now.

Thanks for the offer (((((((Ravi))))))) But I know you are flying in, so that's okay, less you'll have to worry with. :D

But since I'm driving, I can bring a couple of Texas beers for you though (Shiner 100 and Lonestar)...will that work? :D
