Our Gulf Shores stimulus tour has come to an end and it's back to reality......someone's got to pay for all that fun. It was great seeing everyone. We missed the VIP bands but ended up in the VIP section any way
Luckily we DVR'd the show. It's a shame CMT edited out so much out for the replay. Who ever did the live production for CMT should get an award for a great job. Seeing how they blended all the camera shots into the live production was amazing. Hopefully Jimmy releases the unedited show in High Definition.
I know where you were standing because I was near Tom and you've got a picture of his hat. Sorry I missed seeing you.
Sorry we missed seeing you too
Who had the large lensed camera in are group? Would love to see those pictures!!!

Ilo performed at Land Shark Landing on Thursday & Friday. They played for two hours and had fans literally rolling in front of the stage by the end of the show.
BTW The Angel's put on a great show too!!!!

What can I say that hasn’t already been said??
((((Nancy, Barb and Debbie))))... What fun we had... from sharing a room, to hearing the best concert YET.. eating, eating, eating, and then getting to climb the Pensacola Lighthouse!!
I loved getting to see Lulu’s, & The Flora Bama (even if I did have a losing lottery ticket)
Swaying with Ravi in person... what a memory!! Great seeing some old friends and of course getting to meet new ones.
A special thank you to MOTHER HEN… I hate to think where we would have ended up without your wonderful gift…
I can't wait till we all meet again!!

What a great trip!!! Loved seeing the new Margaritaville Hotel & Landshark Landing & the Blue Angels and sharing the whole experience with my family.
Thanks Nancy & Grams for letting me tag along to Fairhope & Ravi for swaying with me while there.
Charlotte not only made my concert experience thrilling, because I was closer than I've ever been to the stage before, but 3 ladies from Fairhope were able to enjoy the show because of your kindness, too; and were most appreciative!
I met some new folks and saw a couple I hadn't seen for awhile.
And it felt sooo good to get back to the beach.
All in all I'm so thankful that the idea that Linda & Nancy sparked in the "listening live" thread truly came alive because otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone. Thank you so much.

Just relived the concert on CMT… what a great show! Coast is Clear was truly a special moment, we’re so grateful to have been a part of it live. Also, did they cut out “Rhumba Man”, “Yes We Can” and “Where The Boat Leaves From” on the re-broadcast?!?!
One thing that we loved that hasn’t been mentioned yet… maybe because we’re from one of those towns that Nobody has heard of… the way they showed all the names of the small beach towns from New Orleans to Panama City Beach. We ALL need your help. Thank you, Jimmy, for giving us all a chance to be in the spotlight.

I just watched the video on CMT.com. It says Enjoy the entire show online. It isn't even close to being the "entire show," they cut out 4 songs and quite a bit of the banter between songs. The live show on CMT was 90 minutes, the video on the website is only an hour and 2 minutes. But I did see myself 3 times, as well as Ravi, Lisa, Nancy, Linda and Tom (it's hard to miss that tropical painted fire fighter's helmet).

Ok, special thanks to Linda (grams) for being my traveling buddy and taking photos along the way and keeping me updated on everything online while I was driving. I felt like I had a personal navigator and secretary. The gambling in Louisiana and Biloxi was fun too. Canjun food at Mulate's in Breaux Bridge was good. Enjoyed the Lighthouse in Biloxi too.
It was great getting to Lulu's and finding a table with Big Phan (Lisa and hubby Dean) right next to Debbie and Barb and Neo and Shannon. A HUGE THANKS TO MOTHER HEN WHO GAVE US THE VIP PASSES. It is very touching to be welcomed to ALABAMA in such a big way. Parrotheads from their clubs were great. Also got to see Ravi there along with Carolinadreamin' (Linda and her hubby) but missed the other Wild Texas Woman, Leslie DEZ and her fam. Spain Jane also stopped by to chat and ended up at a table right next to us. Folks, this was no cooincidence...the waitstaff at Lulu's was GREAT. Everyone needs to get to Lulu's for a great Buffetty experience.
Key LIME pie was awesome! YUM!!
The Best Western was perfect for our trip. I got to get out and walk miles on the beach for 3 mornings. It was neat seeing all the action of teams setting up for the BEACH SHOW. Like Jimmy said...LEAP and the NET WILL APPEAR. You all would not believe the logistics of everything going on in preparation.
It was great seeing Renee and Shurl and Ravi and his friend THUMPER at Fly Creek Cafe in Fairhope. DEZ, it was good to spend good times with you during that jaunt over. The Lower Alabama PHC was awesome and reported almost $900 raised to benefit Troy Allen. Troy is funny and entertaining and a very warm person. Good of John Reno to come and sing after singing 4 hours down t the Hangout on the Beach. It was great winning that special MAGIC CHAIR and some other great gifts. (Sat on that Magic Chair on the beach today and it brought back great memories.)

After the Fly Creek Cafe show, we hightailed it over to the Flora-Bama. Ran into Christine (flipflopgirl right off the bat and got a special Buffettnews keepsake from Shannon (sunseeker...thanks for going above and beyond!!)
Y'all have to forgive me for not knowing the name of the band who donated their entire show and paid their own way their to entertain a bunch of Buffett peeps. They play Buffett music even better than Jimmy. The crowd there was crazy and dancing and singing along to every song. What a great warmup for the big beach show.
BUSHWACKERS WERE DELICIOUS!!!
It was good to run into Larry (LIPH) was I surprised...hell no...than man shows up everywhere..lucky lucky lucky...what a life the HOG leads!!!!
Barb (Karacal) and Debbie (dnw) our roommates took special good care of us and introduced us to lots of folks that I hadn't met before. Good seeing Lisa and Dean at breakfast at the Island Pancake House which is in the Best Western. Good food and like I said...ideal. It was so close to the Pink Pony and The Hangout. NO cars out at all for Sunday, which was very convenient.
Got to meet up with lots of parrotheads in the VIP area to the right of the stage during the big show. We had our own bar in the area and restroom and there were no long lines making it easy to enjoy some drinking during the show. Nice to be with Linda (grams) Dan and Vicki (Candyman) and Larry LIPH during the show. Ravi came back to sway on several songs. Debbie and Barb got to move up even closer to the front of the VIP area and YES, it was easy to see Tom's firefighter parrothead hat the whole time. Jimmy even gave a shout out to it when he sang Margaritaville and said covered with HATS...and the camera when to Tom and Pamesoo. Again the Alabama Parrotheads were FUN to be around.
Great to see Renee and Shannon and Michele (NEO) again at the show and be able to spend some time with Flipflopgirl and Conolulu after the show at The Hangout. Thanks for the great chicken wrap meal and BEER for dinner Lisa and Dean!!!

I guess this is my Gulf Shores Concert for the Coast JOURNAL....
Thanks to Debbie (dnw) for the ride over to the Pensacola Beach Margaritaville Hotel. The shopping was fun and getting to wade out the water was good...special conching done... Barb it was fun exploring Flounders with you and seeing all the collection of antiques and nautical stuff there. The Diesel Fuel was damB good and loosened me up for a hike to the top of the Pensacola Lighthouse at the NAS. It's a good thing I had that huge pile of SEAFOOD NACHOS....yum.
Also fun to stop at Flora-Bama again for a Bushwacker and of course I had to get another Bushwacker at Tacky Jack's to compare.
Great sunsets and sunrises and a wonderful time at Gulf Shores. I gotta say we could smell oil, there was a sticky flim on stuff and a few tarballs...but it didn't keep people out of the water. What a beautiful place with genuinely friendly people.
The trip home was great! The cheeseburger with chili was right tasty at The Dew Drop Inn, the oldest restaurant in Mobile, Alabama. I can see why it is ONE OF JIMMY'S TOP 10 on his LIST.
The casino did me right and Margaritaville New Orleans was super. Yummy Havanas Bananas. We made a trek by 616 Ursuline to laugh about Jimmy's "special" time there. Loved seeing the blue dog gallery on Royal. Enjoyed shopping for pralines and eating those BEIGNETS when those sweet goodies cooled. It was Bastille Day and they had a little parade right by our table at Cafe du Monde. Our final trek through New Orleans was down St Charles Avenue, where we could see how much they have come back since Katrina...that special Breath In, Breath Out Moment as we passed the Camillia Grille and headed home.
1500 miles roundtrip and 30 hours in the car was so WELL WORTH IT! Thanks, Jimmy, for inspiring a memorable trip. Thanks ((((BNers))) for making it even that much more special.
And, yes we had the ceremonial JUMBIE!!!! (Missed those of your who could not make it happen.)

Yes, yes! Thanks, Tom. The troprock band that had the Wahine Man CD with Hollow Man on it...etc. And Mike Miller who made the sailing adventure. And I remember Howie Golub on harmonica from other bands. I have that CD; just slipped my mind WHO they are since I hadn't heard them before. What a super group!!!
