I don't agree that the number of times a person posts should have any indication on how
valuable their opinion is. Some people just don't have a lot to say. Some are just "good
listeners".

John while I agree for the most part with what you're saying, what about the people whose sole purpose in joining this board was to do nothing but biatch, complain and cause discontent? You know the trolls? When you've got someone who just joined and on their first post they complain doesn't that say a lot about them?
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

Quantity does not make quality while quality requires quantity of thought. I have some very liberal friends and some very conservative friends. My parents are very conservative and some how voted for Cater. Even the late Lewis Grizzard partied with Willie at Carter’s inauguration. Damn I miss Lewis

There's a guy here at work who does a passable Elvis imitation but he only ever says one thing.

In this day and age, corporations like BP spend big money to have people "troll" all day long on the internet to boost their appearance or start rumors about people or laws they dont like. The political parties do the same thing, they pay college kids 8 bucks an hour to spread propaganda.

I think it was said by John Lennon and I know at least by Noel Gallagher, "If you tell the world your the greatest enough times, most will tend to believe it".

My eighth grade English teacher used to say this to the class. It stuck with me all these years (25) later. Great advice.

I'd be willing to bet Abraham Lincoln said it first though. :D

Completely O/T but I saw a new Geico commercial last night where what looks like a very old film (almost looks real but I'm sure it isn't) about honesty, shows Abe Lincoln's wife asking "Does this dress make my butt look big?" It may have just been the mood I was in but I thought it was pretty funny.
