In this day and age, corporations like BP spend big money to have people "troll" all day long on the internet to boost their appearance or start rumors about people or laws they dont like. The political parties do the same thing, they pay college kids 8 bucks an hour to spread propaganda.

I think it was said by John Lennon and I know at least by Noel Gallagher, "If you tell the world your the greatest enough times, most will tend to believe it".
You are absolutely correct. It worked for a guy from Kenya named Barry Sotero. Now he's president of the USA!

I commented, somewhere, on Jimmy's rather cringe-inducing singing on When The Coast Is Clear but that the show was excellent. I don't think that makes me a "hater", I don't think it does - just merely pointing out an observation. I loved how he changed the words to fit the moment, it was just a bit off note wise in a couple of places. Oh well.

I haven't heard any backlash against Jimmy for this show and WWL played some snippets of Margaritaville when the oil commission meeting was going on.

There's the beauty of being somewhat tone-deaf. I didn't even notice he was off-key. :P

I'd be willing to be that behind those sunglasses the man was fighting back tears.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

"Cringe-inducing" :o It was one of my most favorite JB moments! I don't know what was in the air, but my eyes were getting all watery too!

I would offer that, despite one early clanked note, that was one of the most inspired, heartfelt, and clearly-sung songs I've heard from Bubba in some time.
Maybe not since his Defying Gravity performance (sung after the shuttle disaster?).

I was feeling the real emotion being communicated right then, and kinda lost it when the camera cut to the tearing-up young lady

I think the only note he missed was the word "gonna" from the first chorus
