If anyone recorded this show from CMT could they please upload to a filehosting service? Preferably one with Rapidshare links.

Thanks in advance.

while we're at it, does anyone know if the concert will be released on cd or if there is a torrent of the audio of the concert?

That's the audio. I believe hidell (as I am as well) may be looking for video from CMT.com or video that has been liberated from someone's DVR.

Speaking only for myself here.

The concert was an attempt to support the people of the Gulf. I anticipate that DVDs — of the entire concert, not just what was shown on CMT — will be produced and sold, and I would also assume that profits from these will also support the people of the Gulf, or possibly the clean-up efforts. So I didn't record it; I *WILL* buy a DVD when it eventually comes out.

(honesty kicks in — I would have recorded it if I'd remembered it, but I just plain forgot! And even if I had, I would still line up to buy the commercial DVD when it is released.)

In any event, I feel that any effort to circumvent this process and acquire this material for free via filesharing or what-have-you goes against the original intent of the concert. That's not the true Parrothead way.

As I mentioned before, I don't have a copy either. Even if I had it I would not upload it — at least not right away — for the reasons outlined above. If it turns out that nothing is forthcoming, there will be plenty of time later for people to get their JB fix.

Again, speaking only for myself.

I dearly hope they sell the DVD. I don't even care if it's all polished up or if it's raw the way it came into the camera. I want it and I want the money from it to benefit the Gulf region.

Understand we have freedom of speech & you're welcome to voice your opinion B.B., but you're bound to start a great debate by doing so (do you or don't you provide the freebie). Should have just stuck with, "Can't help out" and been done with it. Beyond that, I'm not providing any popcorn for this one! 8)

Say what you will, but I TRAVELED to the Gulf Coast for this concert.
I booked a hotel room ON THE BEACH, spent loads of $ in the hotels and bars, restaurants, and establishments and grocery stores in the area.
I will gladly purchase a retail DVD should one become available to add to my collection of all things JB.
ANY television broadcast is subject is being recorded.
Color me cynical but if you didn't drop your cash in the Gulf Coast last weekend, then maybe you could make up for it by going to http://www.cmtonecountry.com, and finding a SIGNIFICANT way to help, then you, too could feel less guilt about downloading a show that has been broadcast over the airwaves for free.
Just saying.

EDIT: And for what it's worth, I doubt that a commercial DVD will be made/distributed to benefit the individuals of the Gulf Coast.
Jimmy's mission was to get people to actually visit the coast, infusing REAL dollars into the economy; not to create a welfare type fund for them.
So if you really want to help. Get to the Coast. I didn't see any tar balls while I was there. ;)
