It took overtime and several questionable calls for the Baltimore Ravens to beat the Buffalo Bills at home......the Bills should have won this game.
The Ravens offense is inconsistent, the defense is aging and has zero pass rush, the special teams are mediocre, and coaching continues to be too conservative and lacking direction.....
How this team is 5-2 is beyond belief to me.....
On most days I say: "Wrinkles only go where the smiles have been...."
Sometimes I can only say: "There is no dumbass vaccine......"
If something or someone gets you down, just remember: "In a hundred years it all won’t matter.........."
So I find myself in the bizarre situation of actually rooting for the Cowboys tonight, but only b/c they have a worse record than our other arch rivals, the Giants. Still. I'm a little freaked out. I feel like I should click my heels together three times and say some sort of magical chant as proactive penance for what I'm about to do.
My love is staying an anchor tied to you with that silver chain.
I heard a few things on it but technically, the call was correct. Since the call was originally a touchdown (which we know was the wrong call no matter what), there is the possibility that some players eased up (based on not seeing the replay). The rule states that if there is a scrum and the referee cannot determine who maintained control of the ball in the scrum for a fumble, it goes back to the offense (I think it's similar to the "tie goes to the runner rule/adage" in baseball).

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

I would wait one more week of being a game down as long as the Cowboys lose.

I'm not watching the game because I'm TV-less but is it as bad as it looks from the stats I see on espn.com?
yes...it's not looking real good for the dallas cowboys....or tony romo...or wade phillips.
they were on the about the 7 yard line and they went for it on 4th down...did not score. the announcers couldn't believe they wouldn't just go for the field goal.
there was a sign of life when the giants fumbled but dallas fumbled it right back.

The problem was that the officials didn't do an all-out thorough job of trying to determine possession due to the fact that the 1 guy had already signaled TD (although it was obvious Big Ben's back was to that ref thus his view was blocked)!
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!

In my opinion he should not have "assumed" he had the ball and called it a TD...Refs have blown way to many games by being to quick to call or whistling a play dead.

That's the point. Since they already called it a touchdown, why bother figuring out who recovered the fumble? You don't. Since they didn't, who knows who would have recovered (or the officials would have said recovered) if they called it correctly the first time. So, based on that, the call was correct, unfortunately for the Dolphins. Now that being said, I had heard that one of the officials was trying to see who recovered the ball but I don't know if it is true since I didn't see it.

Wow we got real lucky today, the Bill's played some great "D". We squeaked it out in OT now we are 5-2. 1st in the AFC West, next week at the Raiders..

The Raiders are playing inspired ball at this point, KC might actually have to strategize for this one
