The Jests were pathetic tonight. Since I'm TV-less, I went to Hooters to watch the game. By halftime I was reduced to ogling perky young boobies. By the end of the 3rd quarter I was saying "check please."

Maybe after last night's smackdown, the Jets Rex Ryan will learn to shut up and concentrate on coaching...nah, never happen, but he should be eating enough crow that he won't go hungry the rest of the year.

Gruden is a total tool, too.
A tool with Super Bowl rings.

You know it's a bad season when the highlight is the suspension of Albert Haynesworth.

Heard earlier on Saturday that the NY Giants, enroute to the Twin Cities to play the Viqueens on Sunday, were diverted and grounded in KC because of the severe weather which had effectively shut down Mpls-St. Paul International.
According to the Minnesota Vikings website, the game has been rescheduled for Monday night, kickoff time yet to be announced. Depending on which blogs or reports you read, reason given for the postponement was due to the amount of snow of the roof of the Dome, the high winds associated with the storm, and concerns for the safety of workers who were trying to somewhat clear the roof. The fact that the other team wasn't there yet wasn't mentioned.
Gives Minnesota one more day to try to prop up their aging warhorse (Favre) and keep his string of successive starts alive, and also raises a trivia question — when was the last time an NFL team had to forfeit a game, and for what reason? -"BB"-

The Giants and Vikings game has been postponed until tomorrow night and to be broadcast by Fox (at least in the New York and Minneapolis areas) because of the 18 inches of snow on top of the Metrodome (and possibly causing damage to the stadium).

The roof of the Metrodome has failed. Game now in doubt in Minnesota. Is there a campus of the University of Minnesota in either Minneapolis or in St. Paul? They could play the game there.

Hey Ravi, the U of Minnesota has a fairly new football stadium and there is talk of perhaps playing there. No one knows for sure what will happen - they say the earliest the Metrodome could be used is Wednesday.

Video of the roof failure, from inside the dome.
At about the ten-second mark, notice some kind of maintenance or grounds-crew vehicle on the far sidelines going from left to right, hammer down, to get out of the way of what he knew was coming. I wonder if he needed new shorts later?
So now they're going to go to Detroit, partly because Fox already has a coverage crew in place due to today's Packers/Lions game — however, the forecast for Detroit calls for heavy snow and winds all day Sunday and into Monday, which could further complicate travel in *OR* out. -"BB"-
