At least the Broncos played a bit better today, despite the loss and the lousy 4th quarter.

It's such a shame that a player with his abilities has to be such an ass on the playing field. Just get in the bleeping end zone for the TD, no need to gain EXTRA attention hovering around the goal line. Either the guy has eyesight problems & can't tell when he's actually crossed a goal line or his brain is already thinking about WHAT to do to celebrate the score rather than just putting the points on the board.JollyMon66 wrote:Seas in my veins wrote:Phillies get Cliff Lee, the Eagles put together one of the best all time comebacks in NFL history...life in Philadelphia is good.
Without question - one of the most memorable Eagles victories I can ever remember and that goes back to the Roman Gabriel seasons. What's the tone like in the Giant' locker room today? I've said several times and I'll say it again...if he stays healthy for a full career Deshawn Jackson will go down as the best player ever drafted by the Eagles. The Eagles had some good picks over the years but this guy (showboat and all) is special. I can't remember the Eagles ever having a 1st class game breaking playmaker like Jackson.
Truth be told my stomach hit the floor when he started running laterally on the field!
Agreed! As the great Vince Lombardi once said to a player...."Next time you make a touchdown, act like you've been there before."Dr.Corona wrote:It's such a shame that a player with his abilities has to be such an ass on the playing field. I tend to believe it's the latter, & I don't have much patience for that kind of play.
He was running the clock down to :00. Running the goal line isn't much of a celebration, at least not in his book.Dr.Corona wrote:It's such a shame that a player with his abilities has to be such an ass on the playing field. Bullshi*t! Clock hit zero when he was at the 20. He's done similar things in the past....dropping the ball the instant (sometimes before) he crossed the goal line, going into the end zone backwards, etc. Last thing he was thinking about was "running out the clock".
I wonder if there is a LOT of hitting this week.JollyMon66 wrote:Seas in my veins wrote:Phillies get Cliff Lee, the Eagles put together one of the best all time comebacks in NFL history...life in Philadelphia is good.

Not sure if I would fire a coach just for this type of loss, but if the Giants lose the next two and also miss the playoffs, then I agree with you that Coughlin should be fired.C-Dawg wrote:Mara should fire Coughlin after this loss....totally unacceptable. And his running out onto the field to blame the punter??? There were 11 players on the field, all they had to do was tackle Jackson and the game was over. Yes, he should have punted it out of bounds, but that doesn't excuse the 28 points allowed in the last 8 minutes of the game that Coughlin's team allowed. There's more than enough blame to go around that locker room without piling it all on the back of a rookie punter.

A hearty thanks to the G-men for handing us the division. Now let's hope the Packers can take care of the Bears!lime rickie wrote:Ugh...the Giants!![]()
