Fantasy Football: Pigskins in Paradise

Good Morning, Parrotheads,

Well, it's time. No, I'm not talking about time for the show in Camden (although I'll be there). Training camps are opening up in the next few days. The Cowboys, for example, report in full on Saturday. With training camps opening and games that matter on the horizon, it's time to get GearedUpandGeakedOut for another fantasy football season.

Each year, I start two or three fantasy football leagues on NFL.com. I'm considering starting a fantasy football league for Parrotheads (BNers). The purpose of this thread is to determine if there is interest in forming such a league. Based on previous experience with fantasy football, I would make two requests:

1. Please show up for the live draft. (There will be a live draft on the morning of Saturday, August 28 or Sunday, August 29.) Please show up for all 14 weeks of the fantasy football season. The playoffs are weeks 15 and 16. Please show up and play hard.

2. Please practice good sportsmanship. We need 12 teams. There should be no collaboration between teams, no instances of two owners working together to create one super team. (I say this from past experience. It ruins the league. Fantasy football should be fun.)

The league would be open to everyone, experienced at fantasy football or inexperienced at fantasy football. My only requests are the two above. As I said earlier, we need 12 teams. Please let me know if you're interested by adding to this post.

I'm in if the draft can be late Sunday afternoon or early evening!! I love playing Fantasy Football. If you get this going you should get like a little Parrot Statue that could be a trophy passed around the BNers!!
